That curled up wire for the trace is damn impressive! My laptop meanwhile has a crooked capacitor and a blob of solder for a fuse. Still works though.

Cheers bud, all it takes is a bit of practice and you'll get used to it :-) haha crooked caps are kind of my trademark that I've messed with it lol

@@TheCod3r I'm going to make some modifications to the machine and when I'm in there, I'll clean up the work as well as add an actual fuse. They're there for a reason I guess.

@@fcallum77 yeah always replace the fuse with the correct rating if you can. I tend to bridge them occasionally but always replace them afterwards :)

I wish you could've seen the ram chip mod I did on a person's android phone it was a 2gb replaced the ram with a 16tb ram chip

Hey man, would it be possible to fix this with a reflow to put the impacted solder balls back in place? I dropped my old ps3 CechE01 a long-time ago and it yloded. I want to get it up and running. I don't have the soldier station to remove the gpu/cpu to check under unless maybe you have an idea where impact damage probably happened?

I'm your big fan and i learned lot of things from you. i take a ps4 pro from costumer which no signal problem. Then i try to change hdmi retimer ic after that there is another problem blue light blink n turn off.. i m so scared.i cleaned the pads also but nothing happen n try to change the power supply still blue light comes up n turn off instantly in one beep...

Hey Cod3r, I have a question, have you ever seen a PS4 Pro 2100 series that only beeps 3 times when the power cord is plugged in? I thought it was the power the supply but that was not it. it then does nothing, no power or anything.

hi i got a ps4 i dropped it it worked for a little while then the screen flickered went off and now a long pulsating blue light any ideas of what it might be dont think its the apu as i done the pressure test thx

Hello My PS4 is showing the pulsing BLOD. Sometimes it starts up in safe mode when I hold the power button and am able to play on it but at other times it does not and just switches off. So could the problem be with my HDMI port or APU needs a fix?

Hey mate, I got a broken PS4 that belongs to my nephew. The initial symptoms were starting beep and blue light for a few seconds and the device shuts down. It was kept unpowered for about three months. The symptoms have slightly changed when it reached to me. Now there's the starting beep only. I believe the power supply is okay. What should I do with the main board to repair? Any idea will be appreciated!

Hey mate. If it's not the PSU it would need a reball or a reflow but that can't be done without a BGA machine :'(

Anyone use high temperature conductive paint? I have used a silver paint pen with great success but never tried it for re-balling as I imagine the low temperature would have it pool and short out balls of solder, but I'm thinking that may not happen if the conductive paint is of a high temperature type, I guess I could always get a BGA practice Kit and try it, but they all come from China and for the moment I am doing my bit and not purchasing anything from there..
