Very well done video. I've had my PlayStation 5 for about a year when they finally allowed storage space upgrade and I'm shocked how much updates and improvements keep coming. I absolutely love it, I upgraded my hard drive to 4 TB and even added RGB lights in my device and put a dbrand sticker for the middle piece to make it look nicer and not collect dust. I still have so many games in my backlog to play and the controller is amazing. I'm happy they're getting easier to find and Sony is making more and more everyday definitely the best console out right now 😎
I was a little surprised that you only installed an additional 250GB storage upgrade. That can hold two AAA titles at best. I got the 1TB and was thinking of returning it for a 2TB. These games are not getting any smaller.
I have 1 terabyte upgrade as well. FarCry 6 & NBA 2k23 are very big games FarCry is like 128 GB and NBA 2k23 is like more than 150 GB I was constantly deleting games and installing and got sick of it
Big tip of advice: to have your ps5 for a very long time, you should use the console horizontally. its because of the cpu coolingmaterial, liquid metal. if its in horizontal position, there is a smaller risk to get hotspots on the cpu. this was also recommended from a specialist. to enjoy your system as long as possible you should use it horizontally, but in the end , its up to the user to decide
@@WarrentheGunner i cannot say. You should monitor any weird occurences with your console, if something should occur. As mentioned, it would be better to have the console horizontally. But if you have no other option be aware that hotspots "maybe" can occur. Treat your system well and it will last as long as possible :) To the matter at hand. In former playstationconsoles thermal paste was used. Its a tacky, quite thick substance, whilst liquid metal is like mercury or gallium, just to give examples. They are way thinner from their viscosity and more likely to run down through gravity. Its just physics at work. It is way better in thermal conductivity than thermal paste, but as mentioned, comes at a price
After waiting two full years, I finally got my PS5 I'll be honest, as a God of war fan I bought this system to get God of war Ragnarok. From release, I thought it looked like a giant Wi-Fi router and I still do but the system is a beast it loads and plays really fast and smooth.
Surprised that you only went with a small M.2 drive to expand your storage but awesome that you can use an off the shelf drive to expand storage as long as it meets the system requirements. Nice review, I am hoping they come out with a PS5 Slim model.

Does the stretched screen not really annoy you? It’s not showing a wider view, it’s just stretching the image and I’d personally get sick playing a console game on that screen
what kind of monitor/aspect ratio is your monitor? I have a 21:9 3440x1440p pc monitor. I saw you don't have black bars on the sides so does this new 1440p update eliminate the black bars for ultrawide users like me?
@@KevinFerrandiz unfortunately there are black bars on my monitor and there's no option to stretch the screen to make the picture fit the entire screen :/ I rather it be stretched than have the black bars to be honest.
Really nice video. All in all I really have everything I could ever want except for 1440 pcapability but at least I have 120hz VRR gaming so I'm not too bothered with that issue.
I had problem with no sound sometimes. I figured out in my situation to wake the PS5 from with controller connected and it fixed the problem. Doesn't happen when using earphones.
@KevinFerrandiz had it just two weeks and start having the problem day 2. Lots of work arounds online but they didn't help me. I even switched ports which solved for a day and cables.

I have a question...i want to get a monitor for my new ps5 but i dont really want to spend to much money so i found a gaming monitor with 4k resolution and 60 hz...is it good or i have to get 4k and 120-144hz to get the full potential (but its so expensive bruhh)...ohh also I only find 2.0 hdmi what is the difference between 2.0 and 2.1???...Thanks in advance
Late comment but the only thing I don’t like is that 120hz isn’t supported on games while a vr headset is plugged in so I have to unplug the vr headset to get my 129 hearts back on games like warzone
I'm getting one within the next month. This video does indeed help and whatnot but i do have a question: I intend to keep my PS4 but my current space can't allow for me to move that console aside for the PS5, so I was thinking of putting the PS5 on top of my PS4. Will I run into issues by doing this?
Hmmm...you like the design so much you hide your PS5 behind your PC. The best I've heard about its looks is, "designed in the dark". Honestly, I have no idea how this got past marketing. However, the dash is infinitely better than the Series X which drives me bonkers. I enjoyed the video, many thanks.
Haha I mainly put it behind the PC due to limited space and also that's where the ethernet cable comes from lol. But yeah I agree it's definitely not the best design in the world, I just "don't hate it". Glad you enjoyed it! 😃
Ps5 feel more like a better version of ps4 than new gen console .If ps4 slim can run games like rdr2 and mw19 so smooth then ps5 must have atleast a 120 fps .We gamers are getting scammed and robbed nowadays and we not even questioning it .The video is fire bro im not blaming you but im just trying to say that gaming companies can make things better for what we are paying and they should be happy for having faithfull console fans that didnt switch to pc all those years for the love of console
I understand where you're coming from; in my experience the PS5 runs a lot smoother than the PS4 slim. Not only the gameplay or fps, but loading times and navigating around the menus. Agree about the 120fps, this is definitely not a replacement for PC! Thanks for watching! 🙂
you have to remember consoles are not computers. they are limited to a price point for consumers. most of these high end pc's you see with crazy graphics prob have $5k+ worth of hardware in them. also most console users want a complete "experience", so developers are not just strictly focused on graphics.
The system might be getting better , but the controller , even with everything turned off , battery life sucks. I have both consoles , ps5 and series x , and the battery life is no comparison. Xbox controllers even with Duracell batteries , lasts longer than a dual sense controller. In my opinion , they’re designed that way so you have to buy more than one controller. 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
Alot more content and features like quick resume on the series s that the ps5 lacked however ps5 controller is way better and i even use a ps5 controller on my series. Maybe I’ll come back to ps5 when we see a slim version but at the moment there is nothing there.
