I’m actually getting a series x about next week I’m super excited! It was hard to chose though since I love all the consoles but in the end I saved up money for a series x

In short, the Xbox has a faster booting speed while the PS5 has a faster loading time. Both are great consoles.

This generation is different. Both companies are releasing a massive amount of exclusives but the genres are different. Xbox has rpgs and fps locked down but ps5 will have more single player story games. Xbox has a subscription service worth subscribing to as well. Load times and graphics on both consoles will be negligible. We are looking at a return to the 360 and ps3 era of competition with Xbox really using Microsoft’s tech to reach multiple platforms with streaming.

I love both, and they are definitely similar on this gen. I prefer the PlayStation only for its exclusives games, but I really want both. This gen is really revolutionary

I’ve never seen both types of console fanboys be so respectful to each other. I think the console wars are finally becoming less about war, and more about sharing information and preferences. It is an era of peace that I hope lasts.

As far as I know, Quick Resume in Xbox is like you can switch between the games you already launched without restarting them. For example I can pause in Yakuza in a boss fight and switch to DOOM, play a little bit, and switch back to Yakuza to continue the boss fight from exactly where I paused, no progress lost. I remember PS5 doesn't have this feature...or does it now?

AC Valhalla is poorly optimized for the new gen consoles, and takes forever to boot/load. Meanwhile RE8 is a good example of optimization imo, at least in terms of taking advantage of the respective console's SSD.

The PlayStation had major improvements. Meanwhile the Xbox over here still looks like the Xbox 1. But, the loading time on the Xbox was what got people so into it. I have respect for both consoles and they are both incredible machines. Nice video.

I own both systems, but I’ve noticed that the PS5 fails to actually load or omits to show the studio loading screens on game start ups. If they did I’m sure game loading would be much closer. However the PS5 SSD installs disc based games twice or even three times as fast as the Xbox series X. In any event both are major upgrades over their predecessors by a long shot.

Assassin's Creed on PS5 is an entire 17GB smaller for some reason, and the disc install test was 11GB smaller. I did some digging and it appears the PS5 uses a different type of file format that allows for higher compression to reduce the overall size of games. It explains why the Xbox is quicker during startup and loading the home UI, but slower for installations and loading games. The PS5 just has smaller files to deal with.

Own both consoles but i do prefer the PS5 myself. The Dualsense controller is leagues above the Series X controller and the loading times on games are super fast. Quick Resume and Game Pass are the only things i like about the Series X.

FYI: At the Disc Install comparison, I think you are comparing PS5 (install only) vs Series X (Install + update download) Correct me if I'm wrong but for the Xbox, when the progress bar reaches the green triangle symbol, it indicates the game is ready to start. Any additional time beyond that point is the Xbox downloading and installing update data. At exactly 5:00 into the video, you can see at the top right corner of the PS5 that 2 additional update data were sent to the download que. Those updates have not been downloaded and installed yet. Apart from that, awesome video. Keep up the good work.

En mi opinión al principio Xbox carga más rápido porque la ui está en 1080 y la de play 5 está en 4k

how did you get your series x to download so fast? i get max 480mbps on my computer and phone when running a speed test. but on my xbox i only get a max of 230mbps even when on the 5G wifi, or ethernet . ive done everything i can do to try to fix this issue, ive had this issue since i had my One S in 2018 when we switched to the 400mbps plan with my provider. it has always capped at 230ish down

La verdad que xbox lo hizo muy bien con la retro y muchas cosas mas pero me parece que cuando las cosas se hacen bien hay que decirlas y con respecto a playstation se nota muchisimo el sistema de compresion y velocidad del ssd. Ambas son consolas next gen sin dudas.

It’s crazy how fast the PS5 downloads are compared to the Series X. Last generation Xbox was quicker than PlayStation, but Sony really kicked it in gear with its installation speeds this generation.

My PC friend was shocked at how fast I loaded into a game on my Series X. Sometimes I would load in a game 5 seconds before him which I know loading time isn't everything and PC has had it for way longer but I was also shocked at fast this thing loaded in.
