Here's an idea Reforged, maybe Sony could develop some sort of superior subscription service available on PS5, PS4 and PC. Put all of your first party titles on that service. I guarantee PC players will pay for that service like we do for Gamepass.

How to slow down piracy to a non-issue: Make the paid version better and more convenient for people to use than to pirate. This simple fact is how the music industry curbed piracy too. iTunes, for all its faults, helped curb piracy because it was drop dead simple to buy music from it. And then Spotify and it's competitors arrived and that was the end of music piracy. People still do it, but it's such a small amount that it doesn't even register in the bottom line.
I honestly cannot believe that Reforge said that PC players should get their own games seemingly without any sense of irony. Yup. We have all of the games from Xbox and Playstation, all of the third party titles, and indies. And we have them from every generation. And if you include emulation, in theory we have all games from console generation 2-7 and theoretically 8th generation also (with Switch emulation). PC literally has everything. PS5 isn't even backwards compatible with PS3 or PS2. Why would we buy a PS5? The only real downside to PC gaming is the tinkering and fine tuning you need to do.
The exclusive argument is the stupidest argument that console peasants can make: PC has more exclusives than all consoles combined and not only that, it has genres that don't even exist on console.

Halo is a Unreal Tournament knockoff, and not as good as the original. The first Call of Duty was originally released on Windows OS in 2003, then was ported to consoles (which was the direction things happened back then.) Nintendo uses half decade old hardware that is almost always trivial (power-wise) to emulate. Every console game you have ever played was developed on a PC. I have a pretty buff PC and half the time I find myself emulating PS1/2 stuff anyway, idea behind building it in the first place was to be able to play everything up until now in the best way possible, so basically endgame machine, and at this point I seriously don't expect any new games coming out in the future that would make me want to upgrade, PC or console

The only good port they had was Spider-Man and horizon. Anyone with a basic Common Sense knows that PCs run off of third party games and Indie titles because there is no such thing as a first party company for PC unless you include Valve, which in that case Counter-Strike 2 is no doubt going to be big and Half-Life Alyx needs no explanation. Also if we are excluding that party games with that also mean we are excluded 3rd party games for PlayStation such as Bloodborne, Demon Souls, and Final Fantasy 16? He fails to realize that third party makes games on three platforms sometimes 4 the pc, the xbox, the playstation, and sometimes the switch llook at capcom they developed devil may cry 5 on three systems, resident evil 7 on three systems, resident evil 8 on 6 systems, street fighter 6 on 5 systems, dragon dogma 2 3 systems. Heck capcom saifd that pc will be their main platform and this was 2 years ago they said this. Sony said that pc contributed 2 billion dollars cause of their pc ports.

Unfortunately, the PS5 only has ONE game that I could play: Ratchet and Clank: A Rift Apart. The PC gave me over 120+ games, ON STEAM ALONE! I profited more with the PC, than I ever could on PS5.

Ironically when I was pirating games back in my high school days 12 years ago, when I got a job the first games I bought were all the ones I had pirated before, the piracy argument isn't even relevant these companies rarely mention it these days.
Basically he doesn’t like the fact that Xbox and PC are getting a game the same day as PlayStation especially if that information is revealed later like how games like Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake along with like 11 other games were later revealed by the actual companies to be coming to PC and Xbox on the same day as the PS5 launch like an hour after the showcase cuz Microsoft pulled a major gutsy move by revealing that about 80% of the games at the PS Showcase were also coming to Xbox in the same say which he’s still probably super salty about since he won’t have bragging rights.
It's really weird. He seems to have forgotten that people pirated console games to play them on consoles before consoles became basically always online. I remember just burning an iso on a CD to play Dreamcast games and getting a R4 card for my DS to play roms. Nowadays, it's to cumbersome to pirate games on PC. There is so much choice with Steam, Epic, and Gamepass. That said, he doesn't understand that Sony is leaving money on the table if they ignore the PC space. I am one of those people that have bought a lot of my current PS4 and Xbox 360 games library of games on PC. Companies have definitely been double dipping being in both the PC and console space and I am all for it.
Yeah I had a few modded consoles myself. Funny because the only time I ever technically pirated a game was on a psp with a homebrew os that allowed you to load ISO's. I remember the psp had a bad power switch so I had to keep the screws out to remove the front face and lift the screen and rub a screwdriver on the ribbon cable to power it on. It was wonderfully jank lol. All my other consoles were modded to remove region lock allowing me to play my japanese games. I have never pirated on PC. Mostly because games are just cheaper on PC with frequent sales or outright lower price tags at launch. Also I became an adult and could manage money way better lol.

PS5 sales are 30 mil, assuming half the people buy a 1st party. 15 mil copies sold. Steam has 120 mil active users a month, assuming 1/4 buy a Sony 1st party that is 30 mil copies sold. THE NUMBERS REFORGED, what do they mean? But not everyone wants to shell out 60-70 usd for movie game slop
It may be a bit off topic, but it kind of annoys me when fanboys/graphic obsessed people try to pretend that Indie Games aren't good, especially in the graphic department. I know it's old news, but it's something that irked me during Quantum TV's Steam Deck "review". A game does not have to be graphically intensive to be good. Whenever someone like Reforge Gaming or Quantum TV pushes off Indies Games for not being good enough in certain areas, like not having high, intensive graphics, I just keep on thinking about "I was a Teenage Exocolonist". The game is not that intensive graphic-wise, but it's still very beautiful thanks to it's very detailed and gorgeus hand drawn artstyle, especially with the CGs or during events. It's not to attack anyone in particular, I just wanted to get that off my chest since it has been something that annoyed me to no end with these people.
I only have PC/Switch and for playing a single Sony game i have to wait 1 year IF IM LUCKY trying to dodge every single spoiler (and then the game comes fully UNOPTIMIZED) and buying it FULL PRICE. And most games don't even go on PC (still waiting for bloodborne, managed to dodge every single drop of spoiler still today). Please, fanboys, shut up and think more about the health of gaming overall, and pray for better games for everyone.
The only reason i watched that showcase was for Spider-Man 2 and Yakuza. There was no Yakuza but i am very happy with SM2 and i can't wait for Fall to arrive so i can play it like holy shit!
The %30 they give to steam is made up via the money you don't have to spend maintaining your own marketplace. That's why Steam and other marketplaces take a cut, it's maintenance. This includes putting it in sales, maintaining the store page, and marketing. All things Sony would have to shell out for their own store front. Not including payment security, a thing EPIC bombed horribly.
And think of exposure, tons of indie games get why more advertising on steam that can reach a much larger player base than if the built their own launcher
? A PS5 is only 500, and a game is anywhere between 20 and 70. PCs cost way more and you don't actually own the game. I don't have anything against PCs, and I'm glad PC gamers are getting more games, but I personally have no interest in a PC. The mods are nice, but I'd far rather physically own my games and not have to pay 1000+ to get and upkeep a good PC.
What does the guy mean when he says more bandwidth? Is he referring to people downloading the game cuz those files aren't being downloaded from Sony's servers, meaning that Sony doesn't need to use more bandwidth to account for the increase in downloads, or maybe hes talking about the bandwidth to upload the files to steam in which case its a minor thing that is not going to affect Sony in anyway. Also the guy is acting the 30-70 split is not on consoles either, although first parties don't have to worry about that 30-70 split, third party devs still have to regardless. Its the price you have pay to use the platform as a way to make money, the companies could have easily said, "pay up front now to get your game on our platform" but they don't, they opt for the pay 30% of what you make.
oh and dont forget every console user has to pay sony or microsoft the obligated monthly/yearly fee to play online meaning they have the money to make up that 30% loss anyway, not like they need that 30% anyway seeing how they already make more that any normal person would see in their lifetime
I said this basically on Frit's video about his video, but I'll say it here as well. I think it is funny that fanboys absolutely love and defend everything a company does to make money. If Sony, Nintendo, or Microsoft were to make money by kicking puppies, these fanboys would be all over the conversation talking about how that was a good thing. But then when said company chooses to make money by porting their games to PC, then the fanboy is mad, they keep trying to rationalize how it is a mistake to do so, or cope and say that company lost money or something. The thing that comes to mind is somebody in a toxic or even abusive relationship that has a jealous personality trait. They're getting treated like shit, but they remain loyal for some reason. So when they see their abusive corporate partner eyeing somebody else, or being nice to somebody else, it reminds them that Sony, Nintendo, or whoever doesn't actually care about them, that they exist to make money and this angers the fanboy because they have made their whole identity about promoting said corporation, and when Sony just goes and puts their games on PC and the PC players get a better experience without all of the abuse, it makes the fanboy feel like their effort was wasted. It's basically the "You know how much I've sacrificed?" meme. So they (Sony fanboys in this instance) like when Sony makes money, but not in ways that remind them that they bought a locked down DRM box with not even half the features or potential performance of a PC. They're paying 70 dollars for games and getting 30fps (sometimes even sub 1080p for those 30fps), but PC gamers are getting better graphical fidelity, better performance, possibility to mod their games, and the ability to do so much more.

Funny thing regarding piracy, I will self admit that I have and do it, often times the games I've played that way don't have any form of demo or trial and I'm not sure I'll enjoy it, that's how and why I've officially bought those games, quite a few start out to me as pirated but if I do actually enjoy it I tend to buy
I think good additions to what other games PC has is Escape from Tarkov, Payday 2 (it has better PC support), Ready or Not, and the new Starship Troopers game.

I didn’t find the games excited except spider-man 2 and eventually marathon after realizing it’s from Bungie and a reboot from the old one which makes me curious of what are they going to do with it and hopefully it’s free with cosmetic only monetization i don’t like rhe paid DLC too except when they already set how many will be like fh5
I don't understand this possessiveness. There's a lot of games that start on PC and move to other platforms and we don't complain. For example, I haven't seen anyone screaming that hollow knight should have stayed on pc only because it started there in 2017. That would be insane, we want them to make money and have more people play it. Also what is his beef with indies? Talk about being a snob.

Even if I did buy a PS5 to play some of these games I don't think I would enjoy it. For instance, I am currently playing Horizon Zero Dawn which I tried playing long ago but game up on. Trying it again I almost gave up again, but then tried KB/M controls and it cleared up all of the frustration I was having with the game and I am now enjoying it. Not all PS5 games I would play with KB/M, but apparently there are some that I wouldn't like if I HAD to play with a controller, even if they were originally designed for it (due to excessive need for ranged combat).

As someone whose primary gaming platform was Xbox and have saved enough for a decent gaming laptop I'll have to give those games a look. Tbh I mainly got the laptop to play heavily modded RPG's like TES and Dragon Age franchises and will still use Xbox for shooter games

PC ports do not affect console sales whatsoever in a negative way and I will bring up two examples one through the emulation example with tears of the Kingdom, which, even though there are people that have pirated it and emulated it it’s still made 10 million copies in three days (that is the same number of scarlet and violet sales by the way, in the first three days) and then god of war 2018, the PC port did not affect the sales of the PlayStation versions at all as overall it made more money for Sony so pretty much his argument is null and void altogether

I love Zelda games being able to save up and play them in all their glory would be great. If you want to combat piracy then off a far better experience.
