Damn Max. You probably could have recorded the Tekken music by running the audio from the PS1 to the stereo ports in a cassette deck and dub it that way.
@ That would be cool. Even if the Tekken series didn't had many games on Nintendo consoles, take in mind that Metal Gear didn't had many games for Nintendo consoles.
Conker could be funny they still have light and fluffy twelve tails ver. and just regular Crude plus all variations Plus go full new Jack mode and have The Great Mighty Poo as a assist that sings the whole match long.
Max is right about story mode to an extent: I don't think anyone does them well, even NetherRealm. Every fighting game story mode is the same situation where you get five minutes of cutscenes to establish what's going on and then two minutes of gameplay because a match doesn't take that long followed by another long cutscene. It is literally the equivalent of what everyone complained about with Kojima's games except there's even less gameplay. What companies should do is focus on making it fun for people to learn how to play the game competitively and create alternative game modes that work within the game's system (like Tekken Force Mode). And before everyone comes at me with "but Smash did it", those are not story modes. World of Light is just Street Fighter Alpha 3 World Tour Mode or Soul Calibur 2 Conquest Mode and Subspace Emissary was partly a platformer between fights.
I haven't played the recent MKs or Injustice 1, but honestly Injustice 2's story mode really sucks. It's literally just "let you fight him" and barely any characters are given any focus. Bane and Captain Cold deserve more focus but don't get any, Robin and Batman do not talk after Chapter 1 despite the character building potential, Firestorm and Blue Beetle are put on the bus way too soon into the plot, and is it even worth mentioning Doctor Fate? That said, Injustice 2 as it is is an absolutely fantastic game and probably my most played game on my Xbox One.
Skyblade 743 that’s another part of the problem. You can’t give focus to 20-40 characters for the story, yet everyone has to have a scene. I especially hate it when there’s a point in the middle where the difficulty ramps up but now you’re forced to play a character you don’t even touch against a difficult boss because this is “their part”. The only game that hasn’t done this is Dragon Ball and that’s because I got to choose who to play as and whether I wanted to see the special alternate scenes.
@@originalscreenname44 Has anyone ever played Marvel's The Imperfects? The concept of their storymode is like this: You can choose a character and play through there point of view til there resolution, but instead it strictly follows the overall plotline instead of some speculated endings to see which is canon and which isn't. I wonder if there were any fighting games that implemented this well?
@@battlion507 I've played that game but only for a bit because it's not that great. Basically that concept is just an expansion of arcade mode where a character you choose sees their events from beginning to end. I'm sure no one copied it because it was expensive to do. Rise of the Imperfects had like 8-10 characters where most fighting games start with 2-3 times that amount. Doing fully animated cutscenes for each character, or even an interactive comic, between each fight would be a developer nightmare.
No they shouldn't focus on getting people to to play the game competitively because competitive players are a niche within a niche. Focusing on the competitive players is how we end up with disasters like Street Fighter V's launch. What they should do is make a fun game with plenty of replay value. It's very telling to me that Mortal Kombat and Smash Bros are the top selling fighting games of this gen.
It would have to be Tusk for me. It feels like he fits in the Smash Bros games, even though I don't exactly care all that much for the series. Like, I can imagine him facing off against Link or Ganondorf, for example.
Spawn has been wanted in netherrealms games for so long and to see him not be included for mk11 but smash bros would be the most troll thing ever.... I love it
