Why are console gamers so dumb? PC players didnt allow these companies to make online paid on PC, why did console players allow it? Truth is most people only buy 1-2 games a year on ps and xbox, and those games are permanent. On top of that they're already paying for their internet bill so why do they need to pay 80 bucks to access a service that they're already paying for?

@Darkchao_berserko22 Yup turned my phone into an emulator with the AetherSx2 and the Kishi v2 controller on my galaxy 22 Ultra. It runs smooth 9/10 times

The reason you can't is because PS3 games are really hard to emulate (which is what the PS1 and PS2 downloads are doing). When you stream a PS3 game it's using PS3 architecture to run.

If your hard drive is full you can stream games without the need for deletion and re-downloading. Sure, not everyone will need this but it is a handy feature.

If I go to my brothers house I can hop on his PC and pick up where I left off.

Right. You basically have to have a house in the city to have the needed internet. I live in an apartment and there is no way to get the needed internet I need.

streaming is just delivery, you're talking about a subscription model. Personally, I don't care about ownership for 99% of games, I play and move onto the next, and the benefit is that theoretically there shouldn't be compatibility issues, so as long as the streaming provider doesn't 'lose' games, in an ideal world you can play across any device or generation

I agree with you. As long as AAA Games are not in a streaming service at release I don't see a big problem. And you can still buy the Games and stream them instead of installing/downloading

Not only does it take away ownership the performance is literal unplayable garbage. You could have direct ethernet to the best internet in the world and you're still gonna struggle to hit 720p 15-30 fps

Most of the games they offer on these tiers are games most people already played or trash games playstation needs to do better... atleast with the XBOX gamepass you can play alot of the NEW games day one with it 😅

I would take removing the gateway to online gaming as a sub. Like it used to be, free. I would also like other digital store fronts to exist for market fairness and to increase digital sales competitiveness. Theu want an all digital future yet there are some games selling cheaply at retail that are way more expensive digitally. Thay needs to change. The digital games require less overheads, so the ganes should actually be cheaper than physical.

It’s my opinion and the last part is true for 180 a year with no original content or ideas when for same price or lower you can enjoy Netflix original shows and movies or Disney, Warner bros, paramount etc or even a combination of them is crazy. Especially when things like game pass are out there allowing access to not spjust stream but download hundreds of games on your console or pc. Or Nintendos cheap service you still get things like fzero and Tetris 99 and vouchers for games or exclusive merchandise possibilities. And even there streamable old games add online play and several emulation type filters. Not to mention again it’s a very subjective opinion. If you find you use it and their offerings frequently to justify paying that much by all means do it. Not like I’m telling people they should boycott the service or Sony lol. If you like it use it. I just personally can’t afford it or justify paying that high when I have maybe claimed the ps plus games and played a total of 5 games from the classic library.

Completely agree. Not sure how anyone can justify the cost of PSplus now, especislly compared to it's main competition Game Pass. My PS5 is my singleplayer platform once my plus runs out, and series x will be for mp and I'm surely not the only one, they'll lose in the end if they think they can continue this pattern of cocky, greedy bs.

I wouldn't see why not. Especially since Backbone is already recognized by Sony to be a compatible controller device to play games that are streamed from PS5 to a phone/tablet.

There is no mobile streaming app for Sony for cloud gaming. I think Apple doesn’t want it. Even for Xbox cloud you have to do it through the safari browser. Apple wants mobile gaming to be clash of clans and candy crush. The moment people use their phones to play other games Apple is gonna panic.

What's the problem with the Backbone? It's just a controller like every other in the market and has nothing to do with a streaming service

Its an extra £10 a year ffs, less than £1 extra a month, for 36 games a year. THIRTY SIX GAMES A YEAR, HOW DO YOU EVEN HAVE THE TIME TO PLAY 36 GAMES A YEAR FOR £60. THE PRICE OF 1 GAME.

Games are already way too cheap. As a percentage the price hike seems high but as the other comment says it’s £10 for a year extra. Get a grip.

I remote play anywhere there is internet on my backbone without any issue or delay. Is your ps5 wireless? Do you live in Africa? I’ve never had anything less than a 10/10 remote play experience.

Portal is a PS5 accessory not a standalone device. It's not crazy when you think about what the device is

when you understand computer science, you understand its for the best. in 15 years it may be viable, cloud streaming is just bad no room for debate on it. currently

However, what seems crazy to me is that making this PS5 cloud streaming plus service available on a £200 portable streaming device would surely be an easy win in getting more PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, more games purchased through the platform and more money made in general for Sony - it just seems like a strange choice to me. 😃

No clue what you are talking about. There could be more options, but overall I can stream my games pretty without any lag or artifacts.

I have used the app on my fold 5 over Wi-Fi 6 which isn't great and using a wired Cat6 connection directly to my desktop it's okay. Now if I use the PsPlay app my Fold 5 over Wi-Fi 6 it runs so much better and has the options the Remote Play app should.@@rlxd01

That why they're trying to give premium more value. Movie streaming, old games, and now this.. premium is looking alot better now .

its not capped...i can get 140bmps on it which is the max speed of the internet

I can download a 30gb game in like 10 min onna ps5

"most" well I know I'm in the minority.. My average is between 25 - 30 mbps. Aussie net is atrocious in rural areas.
