Sony is so idiotic sometimes. Wasting money and resources for a Remaster no one wants is insanity. The 1st game looks really good and runs at 60fps and has no reason for a remaster, just like Until Dawn doesn't need one.
@apocMTL I'd say sometimes, cause they do get stuff right, too, like with Astro Bot, but man they're killing me with these remasters. They're burning out Horizon so quickly with HFW, Call of the Mountain, The Lego game, and now this, on top of a rumored live service Horizon game, too, that by the time Horizon 3 gets announced the game will flop from people being burned out on it. They franchises like Killzone, Resistance, Socom, Siren, Twisted Metal, Sly Cooper that could all use remaster collections or remakes, but nope, we're going to keep doing the ones that don't need it. Smh.
@NIXNE not sure switch 2 could run it either it's not going to be anywhere near ps5 and that struggled it's going to be ps4 pro level at best so only ff7 remake would work.
100%. I want a full remaster of Killzone 2 and 3. If they were able to remake Killzone 1 with the modern gameplay of 2 and 3 I would buy that in a heart beat.

I'm expecting the Bloodborne Remake to be a PS6 launch title in 2028 which could be the reason they haven't spoken about the game despite fan complaints.
Demon Souls was their best launch title, so it would be a good move. Could see ray tracing being in a PS5 version so that's another reason to delay it to the ps6.
Ngl I forgot about Horizon remaster. Honestly I expected Sony to make Horizon their headliner for Pro cuz I still doubt Sony’s 1st party team are ready to be shown their new games and they probably want to have a game that could convince folks to get a PS5 pro (Which naw this year really gonna be mid for PS then). Plus if we really are gonna get State of Play, then the likelihood of seeing more of Sony’s line of first party is next to 0. I wouldn’t be surprised if their state of play is just Sony trying to convince users to get a pro by showing old games run better n their big suprised is Horizon remaster :/
PSO was 640 when adjusted for inflation PS2 was 550 when adjusted for inflation PS3 was 940 when adjusted for inflation PS4 was 540 when adjusted for inflation So why are people complaining again? Either it’s baby gamers that started gaming when this gen started or it’s some disingenuous people who love to hear themselves complain. And it’s not just PS, if you do the same for Xbox and Nintendo (Sega too while they were around) you’ll see similar results. Gaming only seemed like it was cheaper when you don’t take inflation seriously not account, or your games were bought for you by parents or older siblings, but proportionally it’s about the same. And in some cases more expensive back then than it is now.
Two things wrong with your "adjusting for inflation" argument. 1. Those consoles shipped with disc drives and stands, so you'll have to deduct at least $110 ($80 for the PS5 disc drive, $30 for the console stand) from those numbers for better accuracy. 2. You're not taking wage stagnation into account.
@@TrunkJunky your first point is irrelevant. Every console has technology that the previous ones didn’t. So a missing disk drive doesn’t matter compared to previous generations. If you’re gonna ding the pro for no disk drive, then you have to accept it having tech that others don’t as a reason for its price too. 2. Wage stagnation is directly related to inflation, so I don’t know what point you’re trying to make there. Both your points fail to disprove what I said.
Rebirth wouldn't run natively on Switch (it would have to be a cloud streaming game). Likely, FF7 Part 3 is under contract for Sony exclusivity. Though, I could see a potential deal where Sony allows it on PC as well. I still think a SE acquisition could be on the cards at some point.
As long as it's not Guerilla working on the remaster, I don't care. I just want them to keep working on the 3rd Horizon game; I really want a conclusion to the story!
Naughty dog said their remaster of the last of us helped them get a good understanding standing of the PS4, then they released the sequel that still looks better than current Gen games. If it's like that for the horizon 3 team, I'll be fine with that.
On the price of the PS5 Pro, if you take the graphics out of the Slim and replace it with graphics in the PS5 Pro it would add a couple hundred dollars to the PS5 Slim. The price isn't a big deal. Most people don't need the Pro.
Just played this game 2 months ago at 4k 60 it was just amazing even the graphics were better than many new games so why remaster is just beyond comprehension.
Horizon... Given how they took a beautiful character and downgraded her to a very manly figure, this is not something I'm excited to see. I say this as someone who really enjoyed Zero Dawn and was mixed on Forbidden West.
I have HZD and HFW on my PC. The quality of HZD is better than HFW. The difference is not small. HZD textures are sharper. HZD colors look more real. HFW colors look more like a cartoon. HFW have less detail than HZD. The reason why I think they had to dumb down the graphics for HFW is there is flying in HFW and they need the assets to be smaller so they can keep up with the faster traversal Aloy can move. The machines also look like they have less detail in HFW than in HZD. The animation in HFW is not as graceful as in HZD. HFW simply does not look as good as HZD so I don't understand what they are planning in its remaster.

People keep talking about a Bloodborne Remaster or Remake! You do know that From Software would have to want to do it or want to give permission to another company to do it! It's not up to Sony if it gets remastered or remade!
Ok this is actually just desperate and greedy. Nintendo doing ports of previous gen games at least makes sense considering the Wii U sold horribly and you can’t play those games on the console, though the $60 price tag is a bit much. Sony not only already has this game on the console, but is gonna change a full $70 price for it. Idk why Sony keeps making remasters of PS4 games like Spiderman, TLOU 1 and 2, and now this when they could be making new games that actually aren’t playable already on Ps5
You would do better if you simply revealed where next God of war is taking place not announcing remaster for game that still looks gorgeous even by today standards.
Just to play devils advocate, maybe remasters of some game might not be doable due to licensing and or copyright issues etc, or maybe the code base doesn’t exist anymore or got corrupted. We can ask for things all we want but no company has to explain to us why they aren’t doing something.
I absolutely love HZD and HFW, but why??? It's not very old. :( the quality is still good. I'm starting to feel like everyone else about where are new games even tho I'm a pretty casual game player.
It somewhat makes sense but then again...why? The reason it makes sense, is 'cause Zero Dawn will be slightly enhanced as per Forbidden West...and more importantly, it will have Dualsense support...I was going to play Zero Dawn soon but I'll wait a longer...I just hope, its free for Zero Dawn-owners...again, its high time now that we get Killzone, Resistance, Twisted Metal either reboots or remakes...
I have a PS5 since launch day. But I have only 1 game and i wont buy more. Fuck Consoles. I wait for the games to come to PC where they look and run better and where i get to keep them for sure not like when switching to a new console generation, either the games wont run at all any more or they will run with the same bad settings and low FPS. Consoles suck, they dont have a place any more in todays gaming. They maybe where a thing when games where much simpler in the times of NES and SNES but the further we move the less apealing a console is

Square might have to make a Gamepass deal like Atlus did to get any value out of Xbox SKUs of their games. They've always sold way worse on Xbox. That's not going to save them. Anything they can put on PC or Switch 2 should go there though
Look horizon zero Dunn is not a bad game. It deserves a remastered version. And you don’t speak for me when you talk trash about this game because this game in Naruto and deus ex was the only reason why I even bothered picking up the PS4 otherwise there will be no reason for me to pick it up so when you say you’re speaking for everybody out there that there is no games for the PS five that’s not the case because there is a lot of games you probably only play the typical call of duty destiny and every first person shooter out there and maybe if you want to spice it up a bit maybe resident evil but you don’t speak for me when it comes down to. There’s a lack of games for the PS five because there isn’t any. There’s no lack of games for the PS five there’s a lot. You just need to broad in your horizons when it comes to games. and also when it comes to Final Fantasy 16 it’s not that in underperformed it’s the fact that you got all these sellers reselling it for practically what it was for retail because they’re not making much profit on it because the game is a collectors edition which I don’t mind paying $300 for but when you got other third-party sellers selling for $200 after the offer for 300 so so the fans that are Final Fantasy fans are not purchasing the collectors edition for Final Fantasy 16 and they are over estimated their own profit margin when it comes down to selling Final Fantasy 16 and you got even Amazon third-party selling the Deluxe Edition for double the price almost triple which I will eventually get Final Fantasy 16 but I got other games to buy that I haven’t bothered picking up yet like Dragon Ball Z sparking assassin’s Creed shadows so when you say that there’s no games for the PS five that everybody’s saying there’s a lackluster of it look I named three games that I’m picking up and they’re over $200 so depending on who you ask, you’re not asking the right people when you ask that question

Ff16 sold 3m on ps5 it sold 15k on pc 😂 pc has such a huge install base too as well as being cheaper. They're probably downloading it from a torrent site as we speak. If it's not on gamepass xbots won't buy it. Hellblade 2 managed 10k sales..
PlayStation just REALLY wants to milk their most popular IPs absolutely dry! I'm sick of all the Spider-Man games and Horizon games. I know it's their golden geese, but people are gonna get sick of them if they keep pumping out meaningless shit like this. We don't need a Spider-Man 3 game, I'm looking forward to the Wolverine game, and hopefully we get a Hulk game that's been rumored through Insomniac Games, but we don't need a Batman Arkham beat-it-to-death with the Spider-Man games. Let the hype build instead of a!ways dishing out these games so quickly.

We know this for decades. It's just greed they're sure they can get away with, period. Yeah a PC can cost more. But that PC does a lot more broad set of things for a home. So that's just shilling. There's so many further things they could be going, like making a new MOTORSTORM game. Something that HAS been asked for. Crap they wouldn't even have to do much. But that's a REMASTER that would actually make sense. You're just gonna drop a remaster of a game that's still available to run on like...everything....and expect big sales on it? This is just daft. Press Konami to do another Bloody Roar, maybe find where you can bring back an IP like Toshinden, and for FS bring back MOTORSTORM. Pretty sure I plan on canceling my PS plus unless there's another 'deal' that brings the price point back down, something that STEAM provides without cost, when it's not like SONY is providing much of the handling of servers for other's games. Instead they just drop brick layers craps like Concord that last less than 2 weeks because they couldn't read the writing on the wall. Some of us have been gaming longer than some of these industry professionals that seem to think they're going to make like Blackrock and FORCE BEHAVIORS. Only instead of enforcing some rules, they're trying to force people to like things that frankly are being rejected, and with good reason, and that isn't really offering anything but more watered down version others gameplay that brings nothing new. You could get away with SOME of that if the IP is something that buys a little love perhaps. But a brand new IP also not really looking that attractive, forced damage by Sweet Baby like demanding behavior. Welp, the people have spoken, and they didn't want that trash. Again what is wanted? Fun and edge to be danced on, and otherwise good memories we've wanted back. Things that arent more industry coat tail riders. BLOODY ROAR TOSHINDEN even & MOTORSTORM by far.

And to make matters worse, FF7R was initially released on PC exclusively by EGS. It left the main gaming platform on PC out. Steam. It's one dumber decision than the other!

So day and date for PC wouldn’t really make the drastic difference you think it would. Especially not for a niche game like jrpg.
