Hey, so I have a ps5 and pc which can run VR games pretty well. I owned the very first quest headset and I’m looking to get a new one. Which one would you guys recommend?

Can I play PSVR2 with a coffee table in front of the sitting position? Or do I need to get up and move around for most games? Also, I have a full Sonos Atmos audio system and wondering whether I can use that instead of the headphones

I looked at top 25 stand alone quest games of all time on RU-vid, 8 of the top 10 alone were already on the psvr2 and also superior versions on psvr2. Never mind cotm, synapse, crossfire, kayak, switchback, sands2, vampire mas, paradise hotel, c-smash, the 7th guest, humanity, firewall, Res 8 , gt7( the greatest vr game of all time), nms all in 8 months psvr2 is killing it this year. Next level Haptics , eye tracking, lovely blacks and brightness. Res4 (best ps game of year), Arizona 2, Madison, happy funland, vertigo 2, wanderer, aces of thunder on the way psvr2 eating well. Always have the option of playing flat games too like Spider-Man 2, god of war ,horizon etc good time to be alive if a gamer, never had it so good

I have both, and i love both, the comfort, colors, blacks and brightness, blow quest 3 out the water, and mura i barely notice, but i can take quest 3 with me anywhere,and i have a bobo m3 on the way, i like the pancake lenses on quest 3, and it has allot of fun games with no reprojection, thankfully i dont have to choose😅

You can absolutely play with the sense controllers while it is charging, you just have to put it on the charger before your controller dies out. Once it dies out and you put it on charger immediately, it will say the left or right controller has low battery and to please let it charge. So when it notifies me one of my controllers have low battery i put on charger and continue playing for an hour lets say, then i take it off if i wanna keep playing cause it charged alot, not fully but enough to finish my game session. I also take it off cause my charger is not long so playing while it’s charging is a bit restrictive in terms of how much i can freely move my arm around without being worried about pulling to much and knocking over my ps5

I have both & prefer the PSVR 2 mostly for the OLED screen, Haptics, comfort & enhanced versions of games.. BUT if you have a killer PC, go Quest & if you have PS5, get PSVR 2.

Upgrading from quest games to PSVR games is mind blowing. The difference is night and day. I think the quest is a good starter headset, but if you’re into VR, then you need to upgrade to either PCVR or PSVR for the proper experience

Def loving my PSVR2 more than my Quest 3. Theres titles that are best played there because of the upgrades. Not to mention the high fidelity games that only high end PC players have been able to run through mods. Its really comfortable and easy to pick up to play. I just hope we get more apps for the thing and 3d environments for the vr hub. Quest 3 has alot of potential but I really only see myself playing the thing for exclusives and when a PC mod interests me.

Is Sony still forcing you to pay for upgrades on old VR titles. I had a library of PSVR 1 titles I was looking forward to playing on the PSVR 2. But on release they reported almost all the games weren't compatible and you had to buy the PS5 version. Only a hand full of games were migrated for free after launch.

PSVR2 was my first VR headset. I put it on, and I was thinking: Where is the crazy sharpness/amazing visual fidelity I've been promised by all the reviews? Everything looks super blurry, nothing is sharp. But once you get over the fact that you've been bamboozled and accepted the fact that the resolution will remind you of what a 720p screen appears to be, you'll be absolutely fine. But the MQ3, blows the PSVR2 out of the water in terms of clarity and sharpness. Honestly, the PSVR2 looks to have some kind of odd filter in front of it, while the MQ3 doesn't! MQ3 is also wireless...

PSVR2 is better than Quest 3 in SOME areas. The Quest 3 has much much better lenses so everything looks sharp, the Quest 3 has built in speakers, the quest 3 is CHEAPER and offers much more. It has much better passtrough cameras, it has mixed reality games, the Quest 3 has better games, the Quest 3 is also wireless and still offers PCVR which looks much better than anything on PSVR2. If were just talking about the headsets themselves, then the Quest 3 is a clear winner. You get so much more for the money, as someone who uses both almost daily. The Quest 3 is better in most ways. PSVR2 has OLED and HDR which are nice, but the mura is so annoying I prefer to look trough my Quest 3 since the lenses are so much better. So this is obviously a biased video

No it is not. It has fresnel lens which severely limits "sweat spot" and it lacks games. For example, there is no any VR racing games on PS5 except GT7, no VR avia sims.

I would say Meta Quest 3 is more technologically advanced for multiple reasons (standalone, pancake lenses, mixed reality), but PSVR2 seems a good option for those who doesn't have a high-end PC and wants to play games with high fidelity graphics. Bear in mind it's a console peripheral though.

lol you cant use PSVR 2 on PC Quest 3 you can. PSVR 2 works only for ps5 games and nothing else, Meta Quest 3 work stand alone with oculus games and as PCVR nad SteamVR games, so there is no discusion witch is better... you buy PSVR 2 only and only if you have PS5 and you dont have good PC otherwise dont bother buying PSVR 2 ... thats the real point

Prefer quest over psvr. I own both. Psvr2 gets little use but for GT7. Quest 3 gets used daily. Sometimes for standalone VR, quote often not. I can mod it to the hills to do what ever I want. Fire up game pass and ps remote play on it. Only thing I really like on psvr2 is head vibrations. Its a good headset if you only own a ps5. Lacking in good games compared to meta store. For me personally meta wins in every round. I have consoles, pc and laptop. Hard to beat quest 3 cos its so good and has so many uses. Speakers on headsets are a great thing. Less cost from having to buy a valve index style hovering headphones. I use speakers more than anything on quest. I can get into my game while also hearing my surroundings. Doesn't ruin the game at all. Stops idiots trying to scare you too, from behind lol.

while i do like your assessmant, and it makes sense, getting started on psvr 2 is kind of expensive. even more so in canada. 649+ tax for the ps5 so 733, ten then the psvr 2 in canda with the horizon call of the mountain, is 819 dollars. for a grand total over 1500 dollars, and with limited offerings, it's just not there, sure you can play resident evil biohazard and village in along with call of the mountain, and some other titles. it's just not at a good point yet. where as everyone has a cell phone and the quest 3 in canada is 649+ tax so 733. and it has a rather large library, and the headset is good. may not be oled but it's still super crisp, and asgard's wrath is a massive title.

all lame reasons the only reason eye tracking is worth it is if you have a crap ass graphics card. can we say big yes, can we say bulky headset and hand trackers, yes can we say tethered, yes,,,,,,did i hear any mention of augmented reality........no did a hear stand alone as well as pcvr...no good luck next time sony you take out the xr2 chip from the quest 3 it would probably be alot cheaper then psvr as well.... loser = playstation

PS VR 2 is the worst vr ever. First quest was with OLED. Interesting whe aren't they using Not Oled) Oled isn't good for VR. Yes, You have a nice black color. Ok. But also you have big pixels and you can see pixel structure. Ps5 is outdated 2 years after launch. And since sonyboys love to masturbate with graphics, and the console is very weak, it cannot work properly with VR. P.S. if anything in Viara the minimum optimal fps is 90. So in powerful titles (for example, Call of the Mountains) Sony uses the technology of finishing Indian frames (like DLSS 3) And that is a constant floating picture, and TERRIBLE ghosting. Thank God I sold the WIRED PS VR 2 and bought the WIRELESS Meta Quest 3 and this is the best decision I made. I'm not surprised that the PS VR 2 failed miserably in sales. Wired helmet....
