Dang, honestly can't wait! Havent gamed in over 10 yrs but got a ps5 at launch and the anticipation for this has been driving me crazy!! Gt7, ace combat, and the other simulation games are about to go crazy

i'd be shocked if there isn't a way to change the grip settings in most(all) games options. press to grip instead of hold to grip is always better, even when using the index knuckles. at least in my opinion. pretty much for the exact reason you mentioned.

The Sony PlayStation VR2 will launch in early 2023 along with loads of capabilities and the Mediatek VR chipset.

with that resolution it definitely seems worth it. playing even non vr games on this would be nice

Gran Turismo 7 with the PS VR2 sure sounds exciting to me! I'm hoping Polyphony Digital fully implements VR in the game with no limitations.

This is why it's so important for competition to exist. It will force companies to work even harder to implement features that will make the consumer experience better.

Excellent review, didn't know IGN could make objective reviews. The headset looks amazing, the only thing that would stop me from buying is the controllers, having to press a button to grip items would give me severe cramping after a while, other than that it looks pretty cool

Anyone know if you can use MW2? Also if you can use it just as a screen for other games? Even if it’s not compatible I’m hoping you can use it as a screen to avoid using a tv or monitor and have the game up close

4:19 It seems that Sony sacrificed integrated audio so they can onboard other parts in their headset.

Imagine first party Spider-Man VR. Maybe not an entire story game, but a small $20 game that you can actually swing in dramatic realism with unlike the far from home VR game

When using headphones can the sound be heard from the TV as well for the spectators to Enjoy the game?

Spiderman 2 with this actually web swinging would be crazy. Sounds hard to make but fun to play

It looks like a great headset. Hopefully there is a way to get it to work well on PC also. More excited about those controllers though. I'm not sure where they got the information about this being the highest resolution among mainstream VR headsets, but that isn't true. It's AMONG the highest, but not THE highest. Vive Pro 2, HP Reverb G2, and Meta Quest Pro are both higher. (along with many others that may not be concidered mainstream)

Im on series x and the fact that sony actually already made games specifically for this, just shows what microsoft lacks.

There needs to be a dedicated VR company with a dedicated AAA VR game for VR to really take off. Otherwise its always going to be shelved and collect dust.

Foveated rendering isn't to "increase the resolution" as in quality step up. It's to save resources and degrade the resolution of everything outside the of where exactly your eye is looking at.

Does it have a movie mode? Or something like the vr takes you to a living room with a tv like other vrs?

This might be important for vr in general.

Software is not going to be an issue . First iteration had alot of quality titles that did not feel like tech demos . This lne will most likely be no different
