Note: My first card placement is incorrect: I'm only covering one square of the starting card, although the rule states that I must cover two to four squares of a card each round.
I'm not very good at this game either, but for some reason it's one of my favorite small solo games. I do use some pricey Century Spice Road upgraded spice/bean bags from Top Shelf Gamer in place of the cubes which does enhance the play for me. The coffee theme doesn't hurt, either. Love your videos!
An interesting game with some cool decision points. This is only the 3rd game I've ever seen with cards overlapping each other using 6 segments.. but maybe I have just missed some. The other 2 games I've seen with this is Confusing Lands, and my own design (WIP) with a Clue theme called Whodunit in Your Pocket. I quite like the spatial puzzle of it, but it does seem a bit too short for the engine building aspect. Thanks for the playthrough video, well done.
I agree with the game length, which is why it's not one of my favorites. But the general premise is good! 🙃 Also, do you know Orchard and Grove? These ones work with overlapping cards as well.
Your first card placement is wrong.🤔 You only cover 1 square of your starting card when the rule says that you must cover 2 to 4 squares of a card for each round 🤕
