Isn't PlaytronOS basically Bazite? Maybe they should have just worked with Bazite. I think it is positive to see sort of Big name developers trying to improve Linux gaming; and would like to see more Native Linux games (like wish they port Wukong to Linux native). Thanks for the review to let us know what this about, I never heard of it before.
I don't know if you'll read this comment, but would it be possible to make a comparison between Lutris, Heroic and Bottles in relation to non-steam games? I have the impression that Heroic has a better performance. Let's say I tried running Ghost of Tsushima through "alternative" methods and only had problems with stuttering in Lutris and Bottles, which almost made me go back to Windows until I tried Heroic.
Now, my question is, who needs such a system on PC, because in marketing, they claim that this system is also available on PC... When with CachyOS, you can run everything just the same. I don't know if you're aware of how many terms and conditions you have to accept when installing this system... I'm sticking with CachyOS, but perhaps thanks to this, we might benefit indirectly by having games work better on Linux in general.
@@Xray_OS-Arch Playtron uses Fedora and ostree, i guess :) But yeah, you are right that people are afraid just from reading "arch". even tough, its as you said pretty stable. People just tend to use too many AUR packages, customization and then result into a broken system, because AUR is not properly maintained.

I myself once started my journey with Arch-based systems with Manjaro, and I had the most problems with it-something was constantly freezing or refusing to work. My next attempt was a pure Arch, but it turned out to be too complicated for me. Now I have CachyOS, and I can say that it is a complete system that benefits from being based on Arch
Bazzite is better in my opinion. It can be installed on machines with amd, Intel and nvidia cards. Offers kde plasma and gnome desktops. Other desktop environments like cosmic be will offered soon too.
*Bunch of projects I like in the Linux space getting funding* That's good! Excellent, even. *It's a Web3 company* That's bad. Incoming controversy. I hope the people involved with this are squeezing as much money as they can out of these investors with a viable exit plan to be ready _at all times,_ before they inevitably get dumped like every other Web3 pump and dump scheme. If they seriously think this is not gonna happen, they need to read The Scorpion and the Frog. Their opening claims of capabilities over other OSs are already very sketchy which is an awful start. And how the hell can a linux distro that is fedora silverblue under the hood not run native linux games, what?
this i got to see, I tested it. I dont have much positive feedback from what was in front of me. It was streight out a bad experience from A-Z. Then it was soooooo many red flags, that you also will see, if you dig into. Games that works on my cachy did not work, controller issues, bad ui, navagation was bad. Im not not even going to bother to revisit it later on. Give me one single reason, to use this, when we have so many linux options that is a good experience with no red flags, optimized for more hardware, more open source. The list is long, so this makes no sense to install ever again.
