Here I am, 14 hours before my wedding.

My wife and I vowed "In sickness and in health...until death us do part" We were married 51 years and she had MS for 26 years. I was her carer. She was not able to stand or walk for the last 15 years. We kept our vows before she passed in 2022. We had no idea what was ahead of us when we took our vows on our wedding day.

I'm planning a Christian ceremony and it doesn't have personalized vows (though I have in mind something 🌟) but the thought of a letter to read in private sound great! My partner and I would like a first view but we are not sure it's factible because in Italy we have LOTS of things to do 😂 (if you like I could do a brief list). I love american styled weddings 🤍🤍

lm struggling with my vows because I want to had more of a love letter or story to lt. The traditional vows just seem regurgitated from every person handed down from generation to generation. The lssue is we have been together for 6 years and the traditional vows are just how it already is… vows are promises, how can l promise things that already are and make it feel new and special? As In specific to my soon to be wife that’s been my wife for years? She knows me and knows my form of communication is through writing. So If I just copy/paste and lnsert her/my name it would surely ruin something she ls anticipating to be genuine/heartfelt and vows that bring us lnto the future that I’ve already not said without some form of a love letter or segments of our journey?
