I'm sure, some portion, of a lot of people's medical data is in hands other than their doctor. Even before the days of data, this was the case. There is another RU-vid channel (mikeburnfire) that has a series called Campfire Stories. In one of them, one of the two guys talks about working in a werehouse for boxes of medical information. Not saying him or his team were negligent with it, but I could see a myriad of things going wrong if they're the rule, not the exception.
