PLEASE STOP THIS. REANIMAL X Little Nightmares 3 

I really wish people would stop trying to connect the two, or pit them against each other. Let them each stand by their own merit. We should be ecstatic to be getting two fantastic games of this style. The most I think we could get in Reanimal is an Easter egg of Little Nightmares and honestly that's all I'd want. Not everything needs to be connected or compared - both games are their own thing, and that's great. Just let them be as they are.

The true Little Nightmares 3 is the game titled Little Nightmares 3. You can like both things people, you don’t have to pit them against each other. Not sure why folks can’t just be happy that we’re getting a sequel and a spiritual successor at the same time. I personally couldn’t be happier

All in all I think it's a fair argument. It's your opinion and it's as valid as mine. I think the part I take most issue with is being told I'm not a part of the community and that I made that video to gain views or ride a trend. I made my theory videos because I loved my time with the game and we've interacted in the past, so you know I actually like this franchise. When it came to little nightmares 3 I never said anything about the trailers before because It wasn't for me. I never made videos saying how bad I personally thought it looked, or how "little nightmares 3 has fallen off". I was just indifferent to them. It wasn't until I realised how excited I was seeing reanimal's trailer that I wanted to explore why I felt the way I did. I didn't know that other people were feeling the same way. I never really went into why I didn't like the character designs or the presentation of the trailers because It wasn't relevant to my theory. Every shot needs to say something and I feel as though the trailer looked more like a tutorial than a trailer. Lots of shots seemed too clean and sharp so we could clearly see how the gameplay would work rather then tell a story. Everything in centre frame and close up which sucked me out of it. The characters for me seemed to be part of the world rather than in a nightmare. If you saw someone who looked like Alone or Low at the foot of your bed at night you might think they were the monsters. The children always looked out of place to me, probably the reason why they chose yellow for six. This is all subjective of course but to say that because I don't like their designs I'm either not a true fan, narrowminded or that I musn't like Little Nightmares anymore is a bit silly.

I think Supermassive Games is a great choise, being a horror exclusive developer and knowing that genre very well. I'm open to seeing what they do with Little Nightmares 3 and what they've shown so far seems very impressive. Yes it's different, but it definitely still feels like little Nightmares imo

this is so silly considering the fact that we are literally getting the best of both worlds. Little nightmares 3 wasn’t even actually supposed to happen because tarsier was already done and by a miracle we were able to get the little nightmares world to still be continued while ALSO getting tarsier’s new project Reanimal because THEY WANTED TO not just for the fans, so you KNOW it’s going to have so much love passion and skill put into it. Both games are from the same beloved source material just made by two different teams, but supermassive’s approach seems very promising. So why pin these games against each other…

I know I’m a week late but it’s like, people are too busy comparing 2 cakes when we should be happy we have 2 cakes. Both of the games are gonna be awesome and people trying to pit the two against each other need to shut up, genuinely.

Reanimal is the game Tarsier wanted to make little nightmares into, that doesn’t make it little nightmares, they’re allowed to create what they wanted to create. Not create what we want them to create

When people say "little nightnares 3 dosen't feel like little nightmares" that upsets me aswell. I feel like some people have the mindset that its automatically feels off just because its made by another studio. And me personally, I try to convince myself to not think that way too because it will ruin the excitement. I'm not the kind to count chickens before they hatch, but I think its important to give things a chance. If its good, its good. If its bad, its bad. Glad you brought that up Jord.

Watched the full video and its a W video jord. Why can't ppl accept the fact Tarsier moved away from LN to do other things PLUS THE DISRESPECT ON SMG IS INSANE. Imagine you are trying your best to replicate the magic that the game had just for the fandom to disrespect you bcz you are not the studio that worked on the past two games. Just a reminder LN fans BE GRATEFUL THAT WE ARE GETTING A THIRD INSTALLMENT IN THE LN FRANCHISE. AND STOP SAYING REANIMAL IS LN3 BOTH ARE COMPLETLY DIFF.

I see this happening with other games as well. The situation with Reanimal is that the atmosphere feels similar to the previous Little Nightmares games, along with them having child protagonists. Tarsier's new game probably took a lot of inspiration from Little Nightmares games and old concept art. I feel like we're going to have to make a new genre called "Nightmare-likes" at this point.

Thanks for taking time to talk about this Jord Jordan 🙏. It just makes the community a hellhole right now, but no matter what we need to show support to Supermassive with LN3, and show Tarsier that they are also doing a great job.

[WARNING LONG COMMENT] I watched the video till the last second, and i agree with everything you said. To be honest, after watching in Gamescom live both the LN3 and Reanimal trailer, i was already skeptical that people would start comparing them, but i didn't think it would get this bad. Comparing two games isn't bad, that's fine, since we humans always have that need to say that something is better than the other. However, people might be forgetting the fact that the hate filled comments they are throwing affect people behind them, either actual fans, simple gamers, or worse, the developers themselves. This where people are saying that "Oh they look alike they must be in the same universe!" "Could they be connected??? Hmm" "This IS Little Nightmares 3 for me." Please...just stop. Stop because not only because this canonically, logically (and probably legally, I dont think they can just like that make the universes connect) can't be possible, but also because this is hurting Tarsier themselves. It is clear that Tarsier has moved on from Little Nightmares, that's what they have been trying to do with Reanimal. They left to try to push the boundaries and experiment with stuff they COULDN'T do before in LN. Reanimal is the opportunity for Tarsier to finally make what they want and push their style to the limits with more horror, more terrifying monsters, voice acting and everything. So to say that LN and Reanimal somehow could be connected and you are 100% sure that this is correct shows that you don't wish for Tarsier to leave LN behind when this is literally what they are have been trying to archieve for the past 3 years. I also genuinely don't understand how people are saying that LN3 doesn't look like LN or doesn't feel like it- Just because the color palette has a warmer tone doesn't make it less scary than the blues and grays we had in the first two games. Also, that orangy colour probably wont be seen anywhere else other than in the Necropolis at daytime, so we won't see it during the Carnival, and the Candy factory and whatever other place we are gonna go through. Some other people are mad because Six and Mono won't be included, (we don't actually know for certain for Six tho) and i genuinely want to hit my head in a wall at this one. Let me be real, i would love to see more of them, but it seems that their story has ended (especially Mono who is trapped in a time loop) and I'm fine with it. Like you said Jord and i agree with you, Little Nightmares is not about Six and Mono, it's about the horrors all these poor children are facing in this twisted world. Just imagine how many children have gone missing and have lost their lives in The Nowhere over these years, this place is genuinely like hell itself. Each child has their own story to tell, and so do Low and Alone, and I'm so excited to see what their story will tell. And probably the main reason as to why people are having doubts, is because a different studio is running the game now. I'd say this is kinda normal, to not immediately trust the new studio with handling a game than the og devs who made it, especially if you haven't seen what the new studio is capable of. But Bandai chose Supermassive for a reason, because they knew they would be able to replicate this difficult style that Tarsier had, and that's why they were chosen. Supermassive have been working hard these 2-3 years to try and create a game that will look and feel like LN, so to go out and say that the game doesn't feel like it is, is disrespectful I'd say. And another thing that I'd like to point out and it makes me very angry actually. It's that after Tarsier handed LN to Bandai and left, Bandai could have easily done nothing and leave the franchise in the shadows to rot, but instead they actually took in the time and effort to find a new studio to continue the franchise. We were all not wanting, BEGGING for a LN3, and when we finally got it, this is how we react? To not trust the studio because it's not the same and and also cause Mono and Six aren't in there? Come on now... And even if Reanimal released later, it would _never_ be Little Nightmares 3 itself, it would just be a completely different game. So instead of comparing and complaining and starting useless drama, why can't we just be happy and thankful that we got 2 GAMES instead of 1 with the SAME BEAUTIFUL ART STYLE and amazing atmosphere? If you managed to read till the end congratulations because i always write long comments no matter the situation. So yeah, but it really hurts me to see the community of my favourite game split in two and behave like this for little to no reason, when we could all simply be excited, happy, and accept both games as they are.

Honestly, I’m just excited. I’m excited to see what another group of storytellers will do in the same universe, and I’m excited to see what Tarsier does with their new story. Similar themes may be explored, there may be things we don’t know/can’t know as outsiders, but as a wise man once said: “don’t pit two queens against each other”, and “stop trying to make [connections where there aren’t] happen”.

It was really getting annoying. I get intrusive thoughts and I couldn’t stop comparing the two after seeing all of the comments about it. Glad you agree!

It's ridiculous to me how many people came out of the woodwork only to spite on LN3 like how did this even spiral into a full blown shallow discourse in less than 24hrs and ppl are still going at it. And to think we are headed for the same controversy once these games are out.

Im glad that you made a video about this, fellow LN fanartists have been seeing all of these hate comments and very tunnel view and perspective on how much these games are both separate and really beautiful in their own right(big understatement) , they have over exceeded my expectation on when i had expected… but people cant except the changes and it hurts to see people commenting and saying the same things as if this isnt such a just amazing and wonderful way to expand and separate from eachother, hopefully this will change soon 💞

I mostly dislike people saying Reanimal is a spin off or like the real little nightmares 3. It's disrespectful to the people working on the actual third little nightmares game and it's also disrespectful to the devs of the other LN games who made a decision to move on. Just because you like one game trailer more or one developer more, that doesn't mean you have to disrespect or ignore the other's hard work.

As someone here already said, it’s equally exhausting/infuriating hearing people either trying to connect the games, or trying to make them compete with each other. Let Reanimal be its own thing, you do not need it to connect to Little Nightmares, it does not need to be an “alternate universe in the LN multiverse”, they emphasized it’s a new world, let it be if they want it to. It looks so similar because the studio made LN, it’s their style. People are looking way too deep into the wrong areas, trying to find a way to connect them where I don’t even think it would be possible, Tarsier doesn’t own the Little Nightmares IP so they likely couldn’t even if they wanted to. And I get if people are getting a little more excited for Reanimal after getting a look at it, since the first two LN games came from them their new game obviously would have much of what made them special, but that doesn’t mean LN3 needs to be put down, just state that you’re excited for one or the other without saying the other looks bad. Personally I’m excited for both, leaning towards Reanimal more but we’re being fed two cakes, as some people are putting it, I’m very grateful for the devs and I can’t wait

Seriously. I just don’t get it. Tarsier have moved on and have presented an incredible new horror entry, Reanimal looks genuinely phenomenal. Supermassive games are working with Bandai to continue the Little Nightmares series and are being extremely faithful to the property, Little Nightmares 3 cannot look, sound or feel any more like Little Nightmares. There are two great looking horror games coming that both look incredible, what’s the problem here?

Yk I saw one creator actually say that this is was little nightmares was supposed to be at one point, but the studio either couldn't do it or decided to store it for a later project(reanimal) and tbh I'm glad they did. This is horrific and I love it

I am actullay exciting for both game. But The reason why people are comparing them is because both kinda have the same formula and aura. And to be honest as a LN fan since 2017,Reanimal looks much better as modern game, I think the reason is because reanimal is current gen only release, and LN3 for some reason is releasing also for the last gen which caused the game to not improve Graphicly as LN2 at the time + the enemies in reanimal trailer looked more interesting more than the enemies in LN3 trailer + and finaly as for me, LN3 feels like supermassive games just built on what Tarsier did, nothing more, nothung less, and to be honest I don't blame the, if they changed things way too much, people would get angrey. But anyway LN3 is not out yet, so let's wait and see❤

Reanimal is it's own thing, Deep down I do believe that Tarsier still have love for the general idea of that "hide and seek gameplay" and they just want to expand upon it with a new IP, as for LN3 I can obviously see this isn't a tarsier thing, but that's not so bad, the team behind LN3 clearly has a lot of love for the frranchise, and tarsier aren't the kinds to stick to one original IP, lbp, little nightmares, and now reanimal is their biggest project so far in scope, they wanted to experiment with a larger scope without the restrictions of the world of LN they created, they can now make a brand new world for us to experience, as for LN3, it looks really good, and I just think that some who complain should in all rights keep their opinions on it, but maybe don't bash the team for not being exactly like tarsier, the mindset of the "this isn't my little nightmares" is their nightmare, it scares them that a thing they love has been passed down to supermassive games, I totally understand that fear, but little nightmares 3 is made by passionate people who clearly respect the gameplay, the artstyle, and want to recreate that magic to the best of their ability, and some may not want that change. What I'm trying to get at is that this isn't like star wars, little nightmares isn't ruined, it's clear that supermassive knows what their doing, reanimal is it's own thing, it's dark, mature, they want to make a darker IP that still has their iconic industry changing hide and seek dollhouse view gameplay, and LN3 is it's own thing, and tarsier are not acknowledging the IP anymore, they want to move on, if you were them, you would want to as well. Art is all about the journey, you need to find yourself, it isn't just models or levels, it's your heart and soul that continuously develops, improves, and changes overtime. Little nightmares will always live on (I hope), Supermassive are working really hard to give us the most authentic little nightmares experience without tarsier there, it's stressful trying to follow up on a game of such popularity, but screaming at either side of the argument does nothing. Tarsier want to make new things they can be passionate for, they've matured their tone, they want to experiment with darker things, as for little nightmares, it's in the hands of people who care for the IP. This isn't a pvz situation, little nightmares 3 isn't bad at all, it's really good from what we've seen, change is growing older, tarsier want to grow up, and the much younger and inspired crew behind LN3 really want to give it their all to create an amazing world. To let go is to go forward, last time I checked we don't live in a cycle like mono, we can change and accept that little nightmares is safe in the right hands, and this is what we should be thankful for, this dark twisted world will live on through people who obviously love the games, it's a miracle little nightmares is in safe arms, tarsier moves on, and little nightmares is, and always will be safe in sound with people that care. That's about all I had to say, if you read these ramblings up to here, you probably look like a viewer now, but hey, we're all viewers, we view the world of little nightmares and care about it, smaller channels make shock value videos about how little nightmares is done for and blah blah blah, but just ignore it, don't be angry with each other, just be patient. just wait. Already little nightmare 1 and 2 have such different vibes. Even if someones tries to argue oh but none of them have like warm palettes blabla, little nightmares 1 litteraly has a section where you see daylight. Both games had their own feel and as someone that played both fully, altought they both felt like little nigthmares, they where not the same visually and from an experience stand point. So it only made sense that the III would have that different vibe in my opinion.

I agree with most things, like yeah sorry guys Mono's trapped in the signal tower. However I would say Little Nightmares as a whole was about Six. She was in every game, and the sequels we're just telling her story from a different perspective. I'd hope to see her play some kind of role in LN3, maybe even a villain this time with her newfound powers idk. Although, if Six's story is going to end with Tarsier's deptarture, the 'Tarsier Saga' if you will, that's also fine by me

I appreciate seeing this video so much actually, this is exactly what i was thinking the whole time i was watching one of the videos you put the thumbnail up for. it was honestly so weird and kinda upsetting to hear/see people already comparing and making judgments on which ones going to be better and coming to (imo) weird connections like implying that reanimal is the "real" LN3. I think Little Nightmares 3 looks Little Nightmares and it looks good Supermassive have made some really good games. Reanimal has other than the character a completely different style still similar but like much more brutal which reminds me more of Inside. Im excited for both games and will play them with the mindset of two different games and I think if Supermassive games were allowed like Tarsier they would make it scarier but they are sticking to the little nightmares style which is good. also great video watch your videos regulary! If you actually watched Tericho’s video you’d realize that it’s basically just saying that this game will be a game that allows tarsier to explore ideas that they wanted to but couldn’t with the little nightmares series. So yes it’s a whole new game but it is undeniably oozing with little nightmares ideas.

Yes, they are both very similar I'm not gonna lie but Reanimal reminds me more of Playdead projects like the game "Inside" (the farm level) also, Reanimal seems to be filled with more horror and grotesque stuff. I will still buy the two games.

Why is it so hard to be excited about anything nowadays. When I saw the Reanimal trailer and realized we are getting two games that follow the esthetic of Little Nightmares (the sequel game Little Nightmares 3 and a new game made by the original developers), I felt so excited. Then all these comments and videos came out saying that Little Nightmares 3 was going to just be a cash grab or that the new studio was being lazy, it hurt to be excited for the game at all. Now I just feel wrong for being excited about either game, it's as if you can only like one or the other but not both, thinking otherwise isn't an option.

I’m as excited for RANIMAL as LN3, can’t wait!. Tarsiers new ip to me is the next evolution, gameplay wise and in horror, it’s them not holding back in anyway. LN3 I love the world, I’m curious to see what Supermassive games deliver, really hoping they deliver the same standard of storytelling Tarsier set.

Both games look like they’re going to be really good, and I wish people could just understand that the reason Reanimal looks grittier than Little Nightmares III is because it’s 18+ while Little Nightmares has always been 16+. I feel like if Little Nightmares III was exactly the same except made by Tarsier, people wouldn’t be whining and complaining the way they are. Also, Reanimal is its own project and deserves to be respected as such. Though yes, it does have similarities and seems to be reusing concepts that were cut from Little Nightmares for not fitting the age rating, and that’s amazing! I’m extremely excited to play both!

I can’t agree enough, this is exactly right! I love new stories and different interesting adventures. For me I have a certain heart where I always go with the positives and open minded if that makes sense. I think both games will be wonderful!

The only thing I love is that the animation style is a style I can still handle to watch and not get motion sickness. Thats why I’m such a big fan of LN is because of the beautiful graphics and style, I’m glad they’re keeping that aesthetic. But I’m so fuc*ing ready for this horror game. I’m gonna be scared 😂and IM HERE FOR IT. I know it’s not LN and I’m glad the creators are stepping deeper into the horror realm. I love what I’m seeing so far and I’m here for it. for years someone could train as a professional footballer. they'll slip up and make mistakes, and they'll be rewarded. but most importantly, they'll learn. maybe they get tired of this profession. maybe they leave it behind. maybe they decide to be a basketballer instead. sure, both involve getting a ball through a net, but the skills required are unique. the way its done and the way people enjoy it is different. it is in its own right, its own seperate identity.

LN3 has nothing to do with past previous games as far as how dark tone it has ( devs also spoke about it ) the protagonists resemble to cartoons, the creepy atmosphere is not there even at night ! That is something many companies did before to favor sales ! Do you remember the notorious interview from RE devs who called RE7 too much so they toned down RE8 horror elements calling it "too scary"? Should we talk about Dead space 3 or RE5-6 which ended up an action game ? Little nightmares was trying to make you uncomfortable at all times, LN3 doesnt try at all ! That is a design choice and NOT artstyle and is a really bad one for horror fans and not so bad or not bad at all for platform fans. Simple as that
