Pleasure Island History 1993 - 2016 

this made me literally cry, I spent so much of my time there and when the water ride tune on it brought back so many memories

This was my childhood park and always will be I went on every ride and I was the last person there on the last day open I have seen videos from when my older sister (she ten years older than me ) was like 3 a was having fun and we live very near the park and my family is struggling with financial problems and pleasure island was always a privilege to go to and it was fairly cheaper than other theme parks so it was a day out and pleasure island will forever in my heart and will be missed

That looked like a good park, I never went there, but it looked good. RIP Pleasure Island. Great video Theme Park Callum. Merry Christmas Also Tommy Tinkaboo, looks to be the same sort of design as Bubbleworks at Chessington (RIP Bubbleworks)

It's really interesting to see this, I was at Pleasure Island last weekend as part of a three day airsoft event. As we were playing around the park I was wondering what it would have been like through the years. It's a bit of a ghost town now!

great video so sad to see it go really i wonder which ones have actually gone to showmen there was also, as you said a flat rides one of them being called break dancer which was my all time fave ride to operate yes i use to work there, the main rides i use to operate was the boomerang, terror rack, break dancer, and the big wheel. had some good times back then

I miss thus place too even though I'm 8 I've still been there

So many happy childhood memories so sad this has closed down!!! I had some wonderful days out with my family absolutely loved it. The Tommy tinker boo ride was my favourite we alway went on it last before exiting through the gift shop before going home then to mc Donald's for tea on the way back

One of the water rides was called the splash. It was a boat that was pulled up a steep slope, traversed about 15 metres then went down a steep ski jump like slope with a jump on the end. The boat left the jump and splashed it in the water. It opened in 93-94 and closed 1 or 2 years later due to back injuries.

I live in cleethorpes so this is sad to watch

Tristar was only at Pleasure Island from 1993-1994 after its time at Alton Towers from 1990-92. it was Relocated to Flamingo Land as Flamingo Star from 1995-2004 to make way for Velocity which resulted in Flamingo Star being relocated to Pleasurewood hills as Thunderstruck/tide traveller.

I wanted to see 2017 pleasure island but then I remembered There isn't a 2017 pleasure island

When l first watched it l was like that sounds like a nice place to go but when I saw the rides closing l was like what is happening and when it showed RIP l cried

i live in port alberni in canada on vancouver island and i do not know were pleasure island is and it would probably be really far away for me so i wouldn't even be able to go and i have never even heard of pleasure island and i have never been to pleasure island before so i will never get to go because it closed so rest in peace pleasure island rest in peace

They did Have Some Brilliant Rides Alton Towers Could Buy Rides like Hydromax or pendulus ETC Flat Rides to Repmace Ripsaw and Submission

Pleasure Island just didn't invest enough. Most of the rides operating in 2016 were there from 1993, the park needed to add some major attractions, and that's why it closed :(

I'm really sad that it closed... I spent a lot of my summer weekends there with friends when I was younger... one of the buildings inside pleasure island was recently set on fire, that also needed to be removed... no plans have yet been made for the land as far as I'm aware, but I do know and over 16 airsoft event will take place there in September time I think... so sad it's gone...

That's kinda short life for a theme park.

This genuinely saddens me as this was my childhood park, I rode the paratrooper since I was like 5

I went to this park and it was great and we were hoping to go back to ride a ride that had shut down (boomerang I believe) and I just recently heard it shut down this is really sad and I really miss it even though I only got to go once.

Pleasure island closing was and still is a massive loss to the area

Hang on i cannot remember Tristar being at Pleasure Island. It was however at these amusement parks and theme parks as Followed in this order late 80s to early 90s at Dreamland Margate as tristar, early 90s at Alton Towers as tristar and 1995-2004 at Flamingo Land as Flamingo Star and 2005-current Time at Pleasurewood hills as Tide traveller. whereever you got the information from you have been mislead. as i used to ride it at flamingoland the whole 9 years it was there.

I had my last visit to Pleasure Island on the 22nd of October, Sadly I knew it was closing then. Besides the Hyper Blaster I hope The Hydromax, Obliterator & Alakazam stay in the UK, It's bad enough seeing The Boomerang, Mine Train & Pendulus being exported.

Next make fantasy island near butlins

Gutted it's closed. I bet it'll get turned into housing. But would love a massive go kart track or something other than more great places being turned into housing

I'm sad because I recently saw an urban exploration video of the (Kind of ) abandoned pleasure island - but it gives it publicity and now Vandals will break in and if they don't get security , in a few years the park will be damaged beyond repair - just like what happened to camelot :(

Boomerang was sent to Indonesia after getting a refurbishment in the Netherlands

Not hyperblaster it looked so good and I'm not allowed on the huge drop towers and it was a very small drop tower
