Dear Cheryl, I agree with everything you shared here. For me, boredom is a gift and not a burden or a waste of time. Then I get creative or let my mind run free and calm down. I read an article about how important boredom is for the brain and how much we can benefit from allowing ourselves boredom on a regular basis. I really enjoy your videos and thoughts! Thank you for sharing your thoughts... just like you I have read a few articles about boredom and since then I have gradually changed my mindset about it. I think it helps to know it's purpose and manage it in a way to make it work on our advantage. Although I would like to point out that chronic boredom can be a sign of deeper issues but that's another topic 😊

Hi Cheryl another great video although i live now in Greece i grew up in canada so i know about the long cold winter days and frosty nights but your videos make us feel warm and cosy and they keep us great company thank you.

Thank you, you must be well on your way to spring season now in Greece. In Finland, we have long winters. Currently, it’s -4 degC 🥶 and it feels like spring is nowhere near.

Hi Cheryl, Your lemon posset looks so yummy. My kids will definitely love it, I must try. For tea time, you described it very well, it is so rewarding to be able to savour each sip at a slow pace. It is a ritual for me to take just 5 - 10 minutes out of my day to just enjoy a small tea break. It's a moment of calm and relaxation that I really cherish. 😊☕

Hi Amy, I highly recommend you try the lemon posset. It's sweet, tangy and refreshing is something I imagine kids will like. I'm right there with you when it comes to tea time ritual.. I enjoy watching those moments in your video. Just calm and tranquil 😊

I am reminded of Mary Oliver's poem, "Mindful." * Mindful * Every day I see or hear something that more or less kills me with delight, that leaves me like a needle in the haystack of light. It was what I was born for - to look, to listen, to lose myself inside this soft world - to instruct myself over and over in joy, and acclamation. Nor am I talking about the exceptional, the fearful, the dreadful, the very extravagant - but of the ordinary, the common, the very drab, the daily presentations. Oh, good scholar, I say to myself, how can you help but grow wise with such teachings as these - the untrimmable light of the world, the ocean's shine, the prayers that are made out of grass?

I enjoy your videos. May i suggest that in burning any candles other than beeswax which actually clean the air, you are breathing in particulates that go deep into the lungs. It is also much cheaper making your own.

Thank you for your thoughtful suggestion. I completely agree with you.. conventional candles made of paraffin wax are potentially harmful. Stearin is said to be less evil since it's derived from vegetable oils. As someone who enjoys burning candles I try to stick to using "healthier" ones. The one I used in the video is actually made of soy wax 😉

Hi Cheryl. Very nice and interesting video. There were times in my life when I felt guilty for boring days and thought that time was passing by, unused, but now I have come to terms with these moments of boredom and as you said it is a good opportunity to rest the soul and body. When I'm bored, I like to dream and plan the future, so my mind feels more creative. The dinner and dessert you prepared look magnificent!!!! I liked your thumbnail 👌🌷🤍

Hi Chrysa, I think there's such a negative connotation about boredom that we think it's a waste of time and serves no purpose. After all, it's the opposite of busy and productive. I believe in moderation, boredom can work on our advantage more than we realise it 😉

It's made by a German brand ASA Selection but I got mine from a local department store. They have an online shop but I believe they only ship within European Union.
