Required tools: pencil, rolling metre, file, hacksaw, cutter.
Step by step to the perfect insect screen
00:16 Measure the clear width dimension B by measuring the horizontal inside distance of the open window.
00:22 Measure the clear height H by measuring the vertical inside distance of the open window.
00:29 Calculate the appropriate shortening dimension for your window.
00:32 To do this, subtract the measured clear width B from 1270 mm. Divide this result by two.
00:55 For the guide profiles, calculate the dimension H minus 35 mm.
01:12 For the lower profile, calculate the dimension B minus 40 mm.
01:28 Mark the calculated measurements.
02:19 Slide the top profile on the right side flush with the cassette and the handle rail. Shorten the entire cassette at the marked point using a hacksaw. Deburr the cut surfaces with a file.
02:36 Slide the upper profile on the left side flush with the cassette and the handle rail. Shorten the entire cassette at the marked point using a hacksaw. Deburr the cut surfaces with a file.

02:58 Insert three fixing springs each into the lower and upper profiles so that the ends point outwards.
03:17 Insert four fastening springs into each of the two side profiles so that the ends point outwards.
03:34 Guide the cords along the profile groove on both sides to the end of the handle rail and insert them there. Insert the cord guides sideways into the handle rail of the pleated cassette.
03:50 Guide the pulleys on both sides into the recess provided on the cord guides. The cord then runs over the pulleys.
03:55 Insert the two corner connectors into the guide rails.
04:21 Glue the sealing brushes into the bottom of the two side guide rails.
04:42 Connect the top profile to the side guide rails via the two top corner connectors.
04:54 Connect the bottom profile to the side guide rails via the two bottom corner connectors.
05:09 Tension the cords hand-tight over the side guide rails through the lower corner connectors and screw in the grub screws using a hexagonal spanner so that the cord is fixed under tension.
05:19 Put the protective covers on the fixing springs. Check the function and cord tension of the pleated blind before fixing it in the window. You can also tighten the cords later if necessary.
05:37 Guide the pleated blind to your window and use the tool to pull the fixing springs inwards to the frame so that the pleated blind is fixed in the window frame.
