PLEASE react to Impulse Voices dude! I’ll Tell Zulu Someday is absolutely gorgeous and Plinis best song 🤟 and I’d love to see more of my favorite band of all time, VOLA! I think you’d absolutely love their MONSTERS EP and in my opinion Applause of a Distant Crowd is their best album even if its a little bit softer at times (coming from a 15 year old, keep it up man! You’re inspiring)
Plini's album Impulse Voices is a must. Bit more proggy as well imo. You should give Jakub Zytecki a go as well-absolute musical phenomenon. Nothing Lasts, Nothing's Lost, or Remind Me are both great options there.
An accessible Animals as Leaders I would call this, I thought of Wii music first off as well actually lol, also Disney music if it was djenty prog. This album is all about the technicalities and the nuances in the instrumentation, the layering and everything else. I understand wanting heavier, but for me anyway the heaviness is enough to keep me invested. Theres a lot of older prog and "guitar porn" albums that I just couldnt gravitate to because it didnt have the bite that is featured on this album. I think you would like Shrezzers, they are upbeat like Plini, but has vocals, quite metalcore, basically it infuses this type of guitar porn music with modern metalcore and djent. Also something to note, Plini is a big fan of both Meshuggah, and Northlane, man has taste.
Steve Vai is one of the OG Virtuosos whos influence still shows all over the players today. Be it his cameo in Poliphia music videos to his pioneering use of 7 String Guitars in the late 80s,early 90s. 1990's 'Passion and Warfare" is a colorful explosion of wonderful guitar melodies, super catchy grooves and inventive, eccentric infectious grooves. Its not "Djent" sounding in any way, but its a great instrumental album for chillin, drivin' or livin' to. Worth a listen, mo chara.
saw plini live a few years back. such a nice dude. he ended up hanging out at the end of the show and had a chat with the fans. i apologise to him cos i was quite drunk at the time but hes super chill. i asked what it was like having a signature strandberg guitar and how it felt to play and he was just like 'why not see for yourself' and just handed his guitar to me to try out for a minute.
@@DrewFortune97 there's a big Jazz scene in Japan, and the guys who handle music at Nintendo are big into it. Charles Cornell did a deep dive into the Mario Kart 8 music on his channel 😂
