Thanks for posting this! Was such a rush job I don’t really remember it, and coming out to jam in the middle of a set was pretty weird, couldn’t quite settle in hahaha! But I had a great time :) Something Nice to look back on :)
You absolutely killed it Rabea! I was so glad to see you guys collaborate. Congratulations on your own Neural DSP plug in as well. you're an inspiration to us all
Loved it, loved it! You did great. If I was you, I would've shaked all over and been half paralyzed... stepping in on stage during a sold out Plini show, who the hell can do that?! :D Bravo, friend!
Rabea is hands down the best of them, he is the most musical and to me it feels there a lof of emotion behind every note. Not some show off shredding, but actual telling a story.
Love Rabea. Loved hearing everyone’s different killer tones. Guitar nerds rejoice. The keyboard tone floored me as well - I kept wanting to skip ahead to hear my boy Bea but the mesmerizing keys wouldn’t let me. :)
How can i never have heard about Rabea before ?? !! His first 3 licks , and his tone, litterally gave me goose bumps. Only a few guitarists does this to me but thats Satriani and Eric Johnson , Vai and such.. Loved this jam, 3 very skilled players on the stage. Plini is also a quite new for me and love his guitar playing and tone as well.
I love everything you do Rabea!! As the speed contest increased in intensity, Rabea is like, "Dudes, I'm kinda over the whole, fast as you can thing." Nothing offensive. lol Great music and guitarists.
Rabea 4 the win! All great guys, something just natural and refreshing about his approach in comparison w the other cats. I also appreciated the fact that his tone was the one with less effects making his stand out sonically as well. Sure, some of those other cats may have had more “technical chops, licks” , but I like to hear a musician make music not rehash ultra fast licks that they have rehashed time and time again. Rab sounded more musical to me within the context . I actually think he made THEM step their game up and they felt they had to play these ultra fast runs almost to say to him: “ I can play faster” but then Rab hung right in there w the tweedly deeing, but STILL with extra feel and soul power. IMHO🙏🏾
Some comments let me feel that this was a competition. I like Rabeas playing very much. More melodical and not as technical. And I liked his sound more than the sound of the others.
@@East_Coast_Ghost86 You cited musicians that were breaking ground 30+ years ago. This video has talented musicians making fine music, but none of it is close to new. A lot of the video would darn near be at home in "And now, your 5-day forecast." Again, talented players in this, but they haven't advanced the art like the innovative legends you named. Still enjoyable, though.
Plini on the left, and Rabea on right 🔛 and my fav on the 7 string in middle! 2 X 6's = 12, and the 7 in the middle 🎶 ✨️ 🎶 = complete mixolodian fusion jazz rock 🪨 🎸
I have to agree with quite a few of you, Rabea just oozes that extra something, the feels the tingles, smooth and juicy. Don't get me wrong the other 2 can blow those frets away, but felt to robotic. All in all amazing.
Rabea looks intimidated, no reason to really, he can more than keep up with Plini and the gang as he clearly demonstrated! Confidence bro, you got where you are and you earned it and you belong there.
If I imagine myself going on stage of a SOLD OUT Plini show... haha, I would be shaking so much I couldn't probably even hold a guitar. The rest of the band was super relaxed and confident. If Rabea had played the set prior with them, I'm sure he'd be super relaxed and chill by this moment. But he had to really jump straight into the deep end, which is why he seems nervous. I'm actually super impressed how well he kept it together! :)
He’s not intimidated at all! Rebea is a beast! Have Plini set in on a frog leap concert and see how they look playing in that genre. I think rebea is won of the most versatile guitarist today!
@@dvsdez because Rabea plays with soul not math rock. Sorry but he is a jack of all trades. He can play anything. He needs to do his own thing now. It’s his time to shine. He’s surpassed those that discovered him. If you want to sit and listen to the boring ear guitar playing continue listening to Pliny and the others. It’s horrid.
Hm,all three largely ignoring the option to lay out some fluid, plausible lines following the chord progression (specifically Rabea and Plini) but rather making a meaningless wankfest out of it.
Bea is far from average. He plays with more feel than Plini. Plini is very technical but it sounds like diarrhea fingers after a while. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ljPW0Om4gQ8.html
