"Agnes of God" is a play by American playwright John Pielmeier, first performed in 1979. The play revolves around the story of Agnes, a young nun in a convent who is accused of killing her newborn baby. A court-appointed psychiatrist, Dr. Martha Livingston, is sent to the convent to assess Agnes's mental state and determine whether she is fit to stand trial. As Dr. Livingston investigates the case, she discovers that Agnes has a complex past and a troubled relationship with her mother, who was also a nun. The play explores themes of faith, doubt, and the relationship between religion and psychology. It also raises questions about the nature of truth and the subjective nature of memory and perception. The play was later adapted into a film in 1985, starring Jane Fonda, Anne Bancroft, and Meg Tilly.

Thank you for this. A few of us just ended up watching half of the movie on another channel. Luckily I came across this to find out the ending. Does the book reveal who taped her?
