I've decided to document my journey of reigniting that spark of passion and creativity and love of writing because that joy has just escaped me so much recently. In doing so, I've decided to start plotting a new story! It's still just brainstorming but it's exciting getting back to a story. I hope y'all will come along with me as we get back into it!

It must be the nature talking or you might just be my muse. Every time I get a feeling of leaving writing as hobby (btw I never published anything), your video pops up on my YT page with the exact motivation I need. You're amazing Adele. I have an idea like yours. Anyway, I was going to have the "Prince and the Pauper" happen with a bit of "Alice in Wonderland" mixed in. For me, it's more of an exercise to think of characterization and how someone can deal with people she once knew but who are alien to her when she falls into the mirror. Who can she trust and what memories and feelings are different? How do events change us? For me, it was going to be more or less coming to terms with people who have changed and why she liked the person, to begin with. Of course, even as a children's novel, it's too much for me. I'm not there yet. I'm not defending it or copying you. The base tale is like the other with our souls in it.

Welcome to North Carolina! I hope you enjoy what our state has to offer and glad to see your trying to get back into writing. I to have been trying to get the motivation to write a bit more constantly so I'm glad I stumbled onto your channel. Also if Caraboo coffee is still open that's a good place to go for writing. Car hack rest the edge of the laptop on the steering wheel so your screen has something solid behind it. I have done that before when I would get to my kids carpool early and would want to write. Cant wait to see where your journey takes you!

Thanks for the tips and the welcome! The state is beautiful so far and we love our area. Caribou is open and I’ve been a few times but haven’t tried writing there so I’ll have to try it!

Take an aspirin. It will numb that beginner's anxiety. I can't say much. I haven't been writing for a few months. Before that, I only wrote a couple and didn't even post them on Critique Circle, if you know what that is. I'm sure you do. Anyway, for me, the best medication for almost all issues is lemons. Many people have some soul food or cookie that quickly brightens the moment.
