Plowing Down the Rye 

The little MF 1020 punches above its weight, but met its match in the plow. Fortunately, the Ford 2N stepped in to show the youngster how it's done.
The two tractors are about the same horsepower, but the 2N has two huge advantages: 1) It weighs more, and 2) it has the Ferguson System, meaning draft control. As a result, a 2N will run plowing circles around a 4wd compact tractor of similar HP. It is also less tiring, with the 2N you can sock the plow in and go, with the 1020 you have to keep a hand on the hydraulic control.
Ferguson draft control makes for a superior tillage tractor, without question.
