2 inches usually but I've got some who want it every time and a few who go with a 3 inch trigger. I'm pretty settled on a Snow Ex or Boss V at this point for the down pressure. I pushed a lot of driveways to the sides these last two storms but you still have to deal with the snow right in front of the garages as you well know. That eats up time and stresses me out plus puts a limit on my productivity as a one man show. Best of luck finding a good shop for your truck.

I'll keep my old reliable western for backup but I'm moving into a snow ex V with down pressure for backdragging residentials. When the snow is sticky or frozen it will save so much time, plus frustration and wear and tear to clean down in one pass the same as if it was fluffy and dry.
I agree with you, it is relaxing, but you’re right about it being the middle of the night. Nothing worst than battling snow AND traffic in the afternoon while you’re pushing
nice and relaxing this one...good job-now get yourself some warm tea with rum.(can be without tea too).Do you pressure wash your plow and truck after each plowing and driving on salty roads? I have a habbit to pressure wash my car specially under - when roads get dry after driving on salted roads.
😂 That sounds like a wonderful beverage after a snow storm... I don't wash my truck and plow as often as I should but sometimes it seems like a waste of time around here. If you take a 5 min trip down the road it is like driving across a salt field...LOL ✌

I totally agree brother! Sounds like a nice set up you got, Mine is a 2017 Ford F-250 XLT (6.2 Liter gas). I actually sub contract myself and my truck to another company. I typically do residential driveways only but help them with whatever they need. So sometimes I do commercial / private roads. Glad you liked the video ✌
@@TheChristianHardscaper do you think it is overall better to sub contact or have a own business because I know that there are advantages and disadvantages to both but with a $6000-8000 plow and a $40,000-$60000 truck if you get paid $85 -$100 an hour you have to work a lot just to get your money back but including your time or repairs
@@alloutdoors1277 I think it is definitely better to have your own accounts. Unfortunately I only own 1 truck right now, which is fine for my regular season work but when it comes to plowing snow I would be nervous to have an entire list of accounts and have something bad happen to my truck or plow. At that point I would have a lot of upset customers... So Until I am able to purchase a second truck and second plow, it makes more sense for me to sub out hourly. I have owned this plow for 6 years and it came with a truck I bought before this one. So not much money into the plow and I bought this truck in 2020 for $37,000. So I am content with the money I make for now, someday I will have a nice list of driveways with a few commercials. Patience is key they say. ✌
LOL, I hear you man... been lucky enough to get a few storms here but they all melted fairly quick because of warm days to follow. Been a handful of mild winters for sure. Forecast is mid 40's - low 50's the next couple weeks here.... 😂✌
Not this season yet... Ben just had a baby so he has been home taking care of him with his wife. Travis has been busy with school and another job. But hopefully they will make an appearance before the winter is over.
