I've been waiting for this video myself! Last year you helped me believe it or not going into my first year snow plowing! The basics and ropes I guess! We had a little snow about a week ago here in Ohio but not enough to go out and push or salt! I'm waiting on the snow forecast lol!!!! But I do completely agree on having to wash your trucks just about Everytime you go out! Well we do! One of the trucks is a 2016 chevy dump and what you mean little crevices is true! Our oil dipstick completely rusted all the way out and a few other things along there! It's a plow and salt truck so in due time those area that don't get much attention will rust and break! I appreciate all the videos you put on stan! Keep them coming! Good luck this winter!

When I worked at perficut. We did commercial sites downtown. And I can totally understand the reason behind switching people out of machines. The only thing is operators get too attached with their machines and they say that it’s their machine. Operators started taking keys home with them or locking the doors so no one would get in their machine.

Tracks vs. tires...very important to consider foot controls vs. hand controls. A Bobcat S650 with foot controls is unbeatable. I operate a S650 foot with dirt tires and a T595 foot and the S650 performs well above the T595 pushing snow.

We're the first of the serious snowbands that start in new york, don't get me wrong, there's snow well south of us, the totals just jump quite a bit about 20 miles south of us. That being said, two weeks ago it was 23° here with 50mph wind and snow. The last week? High 60's-mid 70's. Next week? Below freezing at night and 40's during the day. Stan. You need to test the Kovaco Elise 900 Skid Steer Loader. It is all-electric with either a 5 or 8 hour run time between charges depending on battery pack size. The 900 has a lift capacity of 900 kg (1984 pounds). There is a larger version with a lift capacity of 1400 kg (3086 pounds). It would be interesting to get your take on the difference between these and your current skid steers - work capacity, usability, cost, etc.

Figure subcontract this season with the 3500 and bed salter and turn my brother loose doing side stuff in the 2500 with tailgate salter. Figure kinda like the cabs. When the snow hits all hell breaks loose but money is coming in so keep the wheels turning. Funny story one contractor asked what equipment I had and was like okay what experience? Oh I have watched every dirt monkey video. So I guess that was good enough for them. So thanks again for sharing the knowledge. It is life changing for some of us out here.

@@Dirtmonkey what impressed me more than all the cool equipment is you have some great guys working for you that have stuck around. Shows a lot about your character. Although a log cabin and a challenger would be pretty cool. Maybe I can make enough to get a small mill and a chunk of land. Well that is the dream at least. Challenger will have to wait till I find a wreck. Got a 2010 camaro with a blown engine so I guess that is a pretty good start. Keep the videos coming it really keeps us little guys motivated.

Gotta learn how to stack snow... I'll come show you how it's done... Once you get the motion down it becomes second nature and way more efficient than slamming into them 😝

I almost forgot what snow looks like. We haven’t had a real pushable snow here in upstate (not really) delaware in about 4 years. We pretreat the hell out of everything. So even the 4-6 inch storms we only end up pushing slush.

Wacky weather this fall in the Midwest. 70 degrees today in southern Wisconsin. 4-7 inches of snow heading for the Twin Cities for Tuesday.

We had a huge snow storm afew years back. A 17 year old kid came from Montana or Idaho... He made a ton of money on cregslist plowing peoples driveways and small roads. He gave most of it back to local churches

Hey great video.. enjoying the channel. With all the talk about Corrosion you should try the specialist long-term corrosion inhibitor WD-40 says for outside use it’s good for a year.. even in the he’ll conditions maybe 1 spray a season might help a lot.. idk certainly something I’d look into

I think you are at a point or close to it..you could use a full time maintenance mechanic..repair snow eauipment and paint all summer..repair lawncare all winter..also makes a filler for vacations or sick leave

@@Dirtmonkey they're out there..let your instincts make your decisions...the only advice i have is keep in mind a $10 an hour mechanic normally has the knowledge of a $10 an hour mechanic..sometimes more cost less...you'll do alright

I wish we could run asv. The shale and rock around here simply eats up the undercarriage. We do a lot of gravel work and they just won't last. Looks great though
