Plucky Squire Review
The Plucky Squire is centered around the heroic Jot who is kicked out of his story book by the villainous Humgrump, forcing Jot to explore and face challenges both within his story book and the outside world. When the malevolent Humgrump realizes that he is the villain of the story who is destined to be defeated by the forces of righteousness led by the heroic Jot, he kicks the hero out of its pages and changes the story forever.

Just watching the gameplay footage, this is one game where I have no clue how they made it, imagine making this where you seamlessly jump from 2d to 3d, or have 2D gameplay in 3D area, etc. All games are hard to make, but with most games, I somewhat get how its made, this one is on another level.

The physical edition doesn’t come out till next year ! This game reminds me of a game on Vita called Tearaway. Looks very fun…but the long wait till it’s out physically 😂

Congrats on 10 years! Haven't herd of this game until now. Added to my Steam wishlist. 2024 may not be the year of AAA bangers (except Wukong) so I love seeing smaller games like this. The 3D to 2D transitions gives me strong Mario Odyssey vibes. Games like this make me wish we got a Puppeteer remake which is insanley underated

If you're a fan of the word puzzles in Plucky Squire I highly recommend Baba Is You. It's literally a whole game of word puzzles. Things change as you rearrange words. Super clever. Give it a look.

The visual style and art directon alone, are enough to warrant a purchase. I absolutely love the storybook aesthetic. The game seems like a blast to play, which is the cherry on top, so to speak. Maaaaaan, with how this game visually presents itself, I'm not too surprised that the game also has good pacing, but I really wanted it to be able to keep me on my toes and make me think. More complexity in combat and puzzles would have drawn me in. I really like the 2-d storybook art style as well, top tier.

I can't even imagine children finding this game engaging. Is there anything more frustrating than a 'game' that stops every three frickin' seconds so the characters can chirp at each other? Play Cat Quest III if you want a chill and cute adventure, at least you get to actually PLAY the game instead of constantly have to endure meaningless drivel.

If I may... Interesting review ! About video games, we need to discern, though... Avoiding the mention of horror, postapocaliptic, survival, war games in a review of a joyful family game would be appropriate. If we find this one interesting, we should certainly avoid those mentioned.
