This Is how I plug a bowling ball at home. I save money and I am able to help other people. Or make a few bucks. I have fixed other pro shops handy work many times for other people. What does that tell you???
Great work! I had a friend of mine make a router jig using a 3D printer to match what you did. I did make one out of a 4 inch cap like you did and it worked great. Thanks for the helpful video.
Ive been out of the bowling game for a while. I need to get back in. But with the economy the way it is now and inflation. I have other goals n mind first before I go back to bowling. but soon enouph. I miss bowling it was great stress relief
I'm happy you haven't seen this issue before, but something to keep an eye out for in the future is edge chipping or cracking due to keeping the beveled edge. At the shop I work at we cut out any bevel as the thinness of the plug at the bevel dramatically increases the chance of that happening. Also Wizard EZ part A is notorious for that buildup, we have some where it even hardened in that side tube where it travels up.

@@WorkingClassKnowledge I'm the same way man, pulling extra hours at work. Got out of the military last year and honestly, Carpentry saved my life. I love this job and I wish I would have started a lot earlier in life but 25 isn't too late to learn a trade by any means.
Dude I started carpentry at 30. Your good. Dude get into hand panes. They will take your carpentry to the next level. If you need a blade sharpened just ship it to me. Hand planes are sick and addicting as hell once you figure out what they can do. But buy a good one. I use them for crown molding baseboard. door jambs not just furniture stuff. Being able to micro adjust something to blend errors and mistakes.
@@WorkingClassKnowledge I don't have a hand planer BUT we do have a Dewalt 13" Planer at the shop that is pretty nice for planing down 2x4s and 6's after having to make rip cuts
