I only wish he’d share what other guitar pedals Rob was using cause he’s definitely got a compressor and an overdrive pedal on (overdrive and compressor on the first part, then maybe just a compressor on the second part. I imagine there was also a rack compressor or plug in in the recording chain somewhere. I have just purchased one of the blonde Tonemaster deluxe reverbs and my only couple complaints are that the amp doesn’t compress in the same a real tube amp does, it sounds very good still but there is a natural compression that occurs on tube amps or on the speakers that sound different. The second minor complaint is I wish they had an external speaker jack that could be used in addition to the onboard speaker for larger rooms. Andi hope you all make a Fender tweed bassman tonemaster too at some point.

Can someone tell me what cable I need to record the Tonemaster in Garageband using the line out on the back of the amp? I know it's an XLR cable, but what plug should be on the computer end? A USB or a headphone jack shape? Or does it need some other piece of equipment between the amp and the computer?

Hey Fender! Is there any way to record the line out of my twin Tonemaster while silencing the actual speakers? It only seems to get a decent level when I turn up the actual amp speakers. I was hoping I could silence the amp and just record with the output because Im in an apartment and can’t be loud.

such a rocket science.... if you place the mic where your ears are when you play guitar - you'll get the best sound from the amp.... that's common sense.... unless you're stupid.... :-)
