You can take that wheel to the radius on that angle bracket and get it to square up without jeopardizing any strengths for what you’re doing. Also, most gauges for psi are used when you have a tank. So that you can see the pressure coming up. For what you’re doing, it’s almost like an on off switch. I doubt you’ll see much variation.
