When plumbers and electricians collide! Had the absolute pleasure of chatting with Damon Blakemore from Blakemore Plumbing Heating and Renewables.
We got into MCS and how that works (or sometimes doesn't) for electricians and plumbers. Along with the similarities we have in our trades from short course training, job proposals, miss selling, bad business practices, apprenticeship decline and the huge upside that comes with the renewable sector.
It is great to hear from a small business owner in the trenches trying to make it work and deliver quality systems for consumers. I felt Damon's passion for his craft and lots of what he said really resonated with my own industry.
It was interesting to hear the views we sometimes share in the electrical industry towards the gas safe model for example are not what we think!
