When the solutions are more complicated than the problem. A simple pvc union adapter would have made it, in a shorter time and a lot cheaper. Lol.

There’s a good reason that polyethylene pipe isn’t threaded. Of course no plumber would recommend that. It seriously reduces the integrity of the pipe. Threading Sch-80 pvc is allowed but the max psi is reduced by 50%. Never do this indoors.

T-Fal is non-stick cookware. They don’t make tape for that.

I am a home user. This is far too complicated. I think purchasing a new pipe length is better option than your method. Too much skill, long time taken, very expensive, and too many articles used. You appear to be an expert in your field, but as a viewer, it not a DIY for me. Not at all simple. The remedy is worse than the disease. You respond to only those who praise you. This will not help you.
