The two plums shown in the pictures are still at my local Walmart for 30 dollars. Still affordable and are a good size. But they did not carry any peach trees this year.
This is going on my 2nd season with the Santa rosa plum and methley. The santa rosa only has around 10 blooms and for some reason my methley has zero. None. My methley tree is 3 times bigger than my Santa rosa so i don't know why it has no blooms yet.
My Santa Rosa bloomed in its second year but then dropped all the fruit. So don’t get discouraged if that happens. The tree will produce the flowers and keep the fruit when it is strong enough to develop the fruit. As far as the methley, so times you have no flowers and when they are ready you need tons of flowers and fruit. I have pear tree that produced nothing until this year, which is its fifth year. That is why the best time to plant a fruit tree is 5 years ago.
