Jo & Al help Donna-Kate channel her on stage confidence when trying on plus size wedding gowns. Catch Say Yes to the Dress on TLC - Sky 133, Virgin 162, BT TV 323
I love the way these two beauts take every women into their boutique and make them realise their worth. I'm not a large lady but we all need amazing, encouraging people like them. They give me the feel good factor by just watching others happiness.
Right? I'm so glad you said that. I was JUST thinking to myself, while waiting for this video to load, that I would love these women to dress my "straight size" self! Ugh! Yes.
@@clairealexander1346 100%! I completely understand this whole sentiment. Personally I wouldn't be looking into wedding dresses specifically at my age, but I absolutely adore evening gowns. I just think they can be so stunning. Unfortunately however I have no excuse to wear them, and it makes me really sad.
This is my favorite Say Yes To The Dress version. Jo and Al are amazing. They're kind and caring and understand what it's like to be a plus size woman. They never pressure their customers or get offended if the bride doesn't like the dress they put on her. It's all about the bride not them.
I couldn't agree more! The original American version sells conflict between the bride and her entourage. I've grown to hate it since I discovered this, in fact all the UK versions.
How could she not see how beautiful she is Her face is so pretty, her eyes stunning, gorgeous healthy hair and a smile that would light up any room and in 5 short minutes you could see her personality is bubbly a few sweet. She glowed in that dress. Girls we don't have to all be size 4 to 10 to be beautiful
She is absolutely gorgeous. And she's got a stunning personality. I just think that when you hear enough people make comments like the woman at the big dress show, you start to think everyone sees you that way. It's easier to believe the bad stuff.
It's easy to not see how beautiful you are if you grow up hearing a lot off negative comments being made towards you those comments stay with you for a very long time
I feel like you do, she is beautiful. Besides, what does it matter what others think? She found true love so she should be happy in that and feel like the sexiest person in the world.
This comment was obviously from such a pure and supportive place but how do people honestly not know at this point how hurtful it is to hear “such a pretty face”.
It’s part of what can make you beautiful. I know plenty of people who accept themselves and are still quite ugly lol their personality or fake attitude is despicable. Especially in Los Angeles.
"We do do hugs!" "Sometimes it's not about the dress, it's just about two girls that understand how someone feels." Aww, these ladies are treasures :')
I love how they build up her confidence and really tried to make her feel comfortable in the dress! She really needed that boost of confidence and she looks beautiful
She's married by now but I want to tell her: size doesn't matter. I'm slim and don't have the confidence and bravado she has (nor the pretty face and hair). I hope you had a wonderful wedding. You looked gorgeous in the gown you picked out. I liked that your friends were kind and supportive.
I freely admit that most of these videos have made me cry for these ladies. It took a long time to love who I am. I've had 2 kids and I'm 48...so I'm squishy and curvy, but went down 2 dress sizes this past year. We women deserve to feel beautiful, and not to be made to feel lesser because we're not rail thin, even you can be beautiful thin too. Women are beautiful of all heights and sizes. We need to stick together and uplift each other.
I love this show. These two ladies are forever my friends. Please remember that just because someone is thin doesn't mean they don't have issues. We all need love and respect. Thank you.
The bride looks like a Viking queen. She looked beautiful in her dress, but I'd love to see what she looked like in satin with structural lines, also a crown and large jewels.
Bless these two ladies for building her confidence and defending her 💙. I wish I could shop my wedding dress from them but I’m cross the world from where they are 💔💔.
That last dress looked great on Donna-Kate. It looks very late Victorian with the little bustle in the back, which perfectly flatters her well-defined waist.
She definitely has a bubbly personality. I for one understand the fact that her confidence was very low but Jo boosted it by telling her how amazing she looked. Even when she first walked in her beauty lit up the whole room.
On cotton, linen or some other natural, open-weave fabric, yes, it would work beautifully. But lace, silk and satin - which are mostly what wedding dresses are made from, not to mention things like elaborate beadwork and sparkles - no way! Even a skilled professional would approach a job like that with caution, and it's DEFINITELY not something anyone should try as a DIY home-job.
@@Maerahn just did mine and it wasn't hard and came out AMAZING. fall colors at the bottom. Took a lot of preparation and research but i'm so happy i did it. everyone ive shown has been blown away.
Jo & Al are my fabourites to watch. They're just so welcoming and wonderful. Too bad I can't watch the show in Germany... would love to see the full episodes.
I like the vidoes in this series but I prefer the other series since it is to be more about fashion and less about bride’s personal issues. I do like some personal things but I rather when fashion is the focus.
@@sarasamaletdin4574 ...Girl, what fashion are you talking about? The point is that you might think you look good in something in fashion, whatever that is, but actually look like you've been run over by a steamroller. It's about YOU, not fashion.
I do love that silver dress and it looks like it was made for her. The other comment I have was to say I totally identify with the awareness that you are the biggest woman in a room and how it impacts you. Also, you are SO gorgeous! Those eyes and full lips, you're a beauty :)
I'm in LOVE with this girl. Like I need her to write a book about all her secrets for being so stunning and on point and elegant yet sweet and funny and bubbly and adorable. I need makeup tutorials, hair tutorials, personality tutorials, everything. I'm in loveee and I wanna be her❤❤❤
Oh my gosh she is so beautiful. Those eyes that hair and her lips. She has a great shape. It's so sad that so many woman, of all sizes are so self conscious. I really pray that self exceptance and love become the new norm someday 🙏🏽.
I love Jo and Ali they are like the fairy godmothers I always wish I had. They are absolutely the best kind of people! I love these ladies. Can u be my aunties please!!
You ladies are the most kind, amazing people!!!!! I had always been a bride……once a brides-maid. Wish I would have flown there for at least one of the four!!! 😂😂 Would y’all welcome a true fan to visit? No need for a dress, as that fourth one was and still is “the one” for 27 years!!!! Woohoo!! Big hugs Love yas so much!! From Oklahoma Debbie
So understand this bride's fear. I gained 60 lbs. after my first toxic marriage and am so short, I don't know if I could ever find a dress again. These two ladies understand all of that and are so encouraging.
She looked beautiful in her chosen dress. She also let her facade of having to be the bubbly fun girl down and we saw the beautiful person that she is show through.
I have a crush on Al she is so beautiful and kind. ❤️ Jo is that kind of person you would not like in one or two meeting but as you get used to their uniqueness they grow on you so i have just started seeing a strong, powerful and badass queen in her.
