Yeah I agree, my mom and dad met at work, and they didn't get fired for dating. Also my great grandparents met at their job, and my grandfather was fired for dating my grandmother cause they thought she did a better job. That shouldn't have been the fiancés call at all

@@CleoS-vx5pdbeen there. I was the fat girl all my life and have been working on weight loss. I was constantly bullied for it growing up and I’m 34 now and you would think that those words and thoughts would go away, but they don’t. They stick to you.

When they filmed this one the ribbon sashes were all the rage. No matter what the dress looked like they would slap a sash on it. The fancy beaded belts became more fashionable on a large scale a bit later.

I think so many of us feel her insecurities. Even twenty-five years after losing 80 pounds and keeping it off, I still struggle with seeing a fit image in the mirror. I feel her pain.

Body dysmorphia is a very real thing and I still suffer and struggle with it. Any amount of weight I have gained back sends me spiraling and the image I see in the mirror instantly becomes the one that’s 90lbs heavier than I actually am. It’s hard…and even harder to explain to someone who hasn’t ever dealt with it.

You're right about people not understanding it. My husband tries, but ultimately gets impatient with me. It is especially difficult for me since I grew up being compared to my thinner sister (why aren't you as beautiful as she is?) and I have never felt like I measured up. About ten years ago, I was pretty sick and, for the first and only time in my life, experienced dramatic weight loss without trying. Within about six months, I was down to 95 pounds and, even then, I struggled with my body image. It's crazy what we ourselves, our families, the media and other influencers do to our emotional selves and how difficult or impossible it is to get past it.

She's a lovely young woman and it's great that she lost the weight that was bothering her, but she seems to have gone a little overboard. When did "extra skinny" become a compliment, and why?

she lost 120 lbs, she might be 110 soaking wet now, 230 is not what i would call "not that big"... i do agree that she seems to be going too far to the skinny extreme, like the way her collarbones stood out was concerning to me. and saying that she still sees her old body shape in the mirror is a red flag. i hope she's working with professionals.

She may not have pictures of her at her top weight. Lots of overweight women are the picture takers and don't want to be a subject of the picture.
