This video just made me realize a lot of stuff about me. I really don’t trust people easily with my true self but internally im always looking out for somebody willing to nurture me the way I have really needed. I’m really sorry for all of you who got really nasty relationships with your mothers. Guess I am lucky enough to have a solid relationship with my mother. But I always felt that my mother was not emotionally available enough in my teens. At one point it felt so out of it, I actually told her but she got so sad and in the end I think I might have been a little harsh on her. Then again I’m already way more stable on my own nowadays so maybe thats why I was alright with telling her that I was wrong. And yes for my own kids I really want to give them all of that emotional support and care. That thought really stuck with me over the years. Im about to start out my 20s right and prepare for that.

i have pluto in the 4th house, 29' scorpio, opposite my sun in taurus 28'. for me, i had a pretty good relationship with my mother...it was my father (gemini) who, unfortunately, i experienced a lot of abuse from. i don't know what it was but he just never liked me for whatever reason when i was born. he always had this sneer on his face; everything i said, or did, my opinions, etc., he would either roll his eyes or make some try hard witty statement about it. he did abandon my mother and i one sunday in april when i was 12-13 and never apologized. my family is also really dysfunctional, at least what's left of us. lots of mental illness (the family secret) that gets buried under our wealth since my grandparents made a lot of money. most of it is on my grandfather's side of the family from us being descendants of old southern families, so lots of inbreeding resulted in generation after generation of either schizophrenia, depression, suicide, etc, but both sides of my family are dysfunctional and come from abusive backgrounds. many of the women in my family, especially on my grandmother's side, were molested, it skipped me though thankfully. never had a peaceful moment as a child. never knew what it was like to just come home and relax. there was always some sort of bullsh!t going on: fighting, screaming, crying. people would just start yelling for no reason. i used to get screamed at for no reason, or for something stupid like leaving lights on past 12 am or looking at someone funny...always had to be smiling, could never be sad or just quiet. i got blamed for things i had no control over. i was blamed for someone else's unhappiness, so i grew up with a lot of unneccesary guilt and shame. we just could never get along, no matter what we did. both of the father figures in my life were true to the bone, grade A narcissists. unfortunately, i repeated the toxic father-daughter dynamic with my grandfather, who is pretty much the same as my dad but more physically abusive. it's only been recently i decided to cut a lot of them off, and have been praying to god again for help and healing. it just happened one day, a complete transformation...still working on it though lol. i just want to live a peaceful life and not have to deal with dysfunction, things not getting fixed, being threatened, no one dealing with their emotional trauma and covering it up with money and wealth so that the neighbors won't know, when they certaintly do know we have issues. my north node is also in the 4th house, so that adds to the intensity of this position for me. my family is very materialistic, and i was raised to equate happiness with wealth (it's a lie). i realize now you can't take any of this stuff with you, and my greatest fear is repeating this all over again. being married to a husband who is more in love with himself than me, beating on his kids, beating on me, my kids hating me because i didn't want to walk away out of fear of what other people might think, the usual excuses. what you said about it feeling like a curse is pretty accurate, because i am legit convinced my family has been cursed as it is a seemingly neverending cycle of abuse, mental illness, and trauma, and it scares me. somedays, i don't know if we even truly love each other; i think a lot of it is a facade. i just want it to be over, no more matter how hard it is. no one else seems to care, anyway. they don't try to change, or even acknowledge that they have problems, the fingers always get pointed at someone else. so many of my family have done everything in their power to destroy me, stabbed me in the back, sabotaged all my dreams, and i don't even think they're aware they do it. it's like they just can't accept anyone being happier than them. i have never known what it was like to have a happy marriage, happy kids, a happy home life. just drama, anger, sadness, depression. i would like to know that, and find peace before i die. i hope god can give me those things, because i realize now people can't.
I'll pray for you 🙏 I learned the hard way that if I worry over it constantly it feeds my fears and that's when my fears run me, that's when it gets more intense. It can kind of self-sabatoge. But be aware how the people in your life treat you and aware of how you treat them. See what triggers any reactions/tendencies you recieved from the people who caused you the pain. Like he stated in the video start with self-reflection, I would say to look into the steps of grief, but apply it into acknowledgement and healing. Write a letter to those who hurt you to give yourself the needed closure if they refuse to accept it. And if you are still figuring out how to function it's not always the case with everyone reading up on things you weren't taught about is very helpful or blog posts or youtube videos to learn. But journaling with deep questions and working with self discovery helps. Remember to take a deep breath and tell yourself, "I am no longer in this phase of my life and that i'm able to recieve and provide for myself than I was able to before." "I am safe." "I am not where I was anymore. I'm okay. I'm _______ (ground your senses where you are now)." It's okay to be proud of your accomplishments whether they are simple or huge. "You are enough, you can make choices, you can express yourself, and you are able to get past any obstacles in your life." [< Say it in first person to yourself as well] I hope you find your peace. And I know you will, when you allow yourself too.

i was last child out of 5 children, i was not raised w/my birth mother and birth father was not around for me as a little girl. My mom that raised me doted on me and gave me the ability to lean and depend on God and not other people. I was raised as only child and found out i had siblings later in my life. But i have forgiven her, it took me years to learn what this means and how it heals me. My 2nd mom spoiled me rotten and now i realize i never found a man/partner who has spoiled me.
