_the fact Christopher Luxon didn't come out today and say, "On reflection, boot camp idea is all wrong for this time and we're not risking even one more person being abused in state care under our watch so i'm canning it" clearly illustrates what a vile, punitive and weak man he is_

Yet he's fast tracking boot camps. Taking children away from families instead of supporting parents and not prosecuting living perps who went on to abuse. The vetting of fiends is almost non existing. People wanting to look after vulnerable children Must be vetted properly.
He reckons it needs to be treated with respect care and that it can not be rushed, but then the Laho wants to FastTrack everything else quickly without those things
This has taken so long to address that work on addressing and preventing abuse in care has not started. OT call it protecting their own. But it's protecting the abusers
90% of NZ gang members were these children that were placed into NZ State Care and suffered the horrendous abuse and torture from people who were PAID WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS to care for them. Many were taken because the State had ray cist over-policing policies. And the kids and families desperately needing to be helped were tragically let down again by other adults in positions of power over them. When we say State Care of children in NZ has largely been an abysmal failure and Boot Camps don’t work, THIS is the evidence. I loathe that the current government is trying this crud again. For 50+ years NZ has nationally felt the ripple effects from the abuse suffered in State Care; economically and socially. The million dollar lessons that come from this report better be learned because we are well on the way to repeating history with current policies.

200,000 victims abused under this racist foreign system in state care, which the majority were Maori and went unnoticed up until now. Crazy how it had to take all the victims to stand together just to be heard and hold a corrupt system accountable. Now, what of the Native Schools Act in 1867 when Maori children were beaten for speaking our language? Where is the justice for them?? My mother aunties and uncles all were abused as children at school for just being Maori and that they would even change their Maori names and give an English one without permission! This system seems to have selective memory or likes sweeping things under the carpet when it comes to the wrongdoings towards Maori.

Ghey were on the streets,these kids were running awsy from the Cyfs cares, and other organizations, Agencies,and groups to hey used these children for money sublier but they font care about them

Stanford in response to Abuse Report saying legislative change takes time. Didn't take long for *legislative change* to overturn smokefree, overturn Maori wards and give tax breaks to landlords to happen. How about showing same level of urgency?
ACC the nz supposed insurance company covers these all under sensitive claims. So why aren't they being referred to ACC? Because they don't want to pay for the damage.

I hear the voice of a known Wellington lawyer asking questions about stopping abuse in care when she has herself advocated for the abuses of Oranga Tamariki upon families through the mechanisms of family court. This is a shameful sideshow from bad actors this, that is until we actually see heads roll hit let's be honest we've seen and heard it all for far too long from these muppets in law and so called authority.

Thank you for your upmost effort and.wording. is a happy day to know those will be held accountable and the truth is now valid. There is a lot of strength in that. The truth is what gets survivors through to justice like this day today. And provides a strength for these who aren't here because of 1s rain that was transformed and trained by the abuser.
