PM Justin Trudeau just said THIS about Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre 

I’m here to listen to BT justify this inept government. Maybe, instead of being shocked about Trudeau’s honesty, how about being shocked that he’s known about this for so long and done absolutely nothing (but make it worse), until it started to affect his popularity and prospects for reelection.

WTF? Trudeau gets points for being “honest” about ignoring the affordability crisis he’s known about for years, until Poilievre’s came around and called it out?!? Are you SERIOUS???

You have to watch the whole segment of that CBC clip because Trudeau admitted that Pierre understood before him. He slipped up, and tried to save it. This wasn’t about Trudeau being honest, because if he was he could have actually helped Canadians by scrapping the carbon tax.

I've been watching Justin Trudeau's mannerism and body language in the House Of Commons, 'what I see is a very detached individual who has zero guilt or shame for the damage he is causing', he's actually quite proud of himself and never, ever answers a direct question, he always has a carefully prepared statement no matter what the subject of the question asked. Why is he allowed to get away with it is maddening.

You can't give Trudeau any excuses, he has been in office 8 years, he caused this mess and keeps spending.

Worked in the bottled water business for 15 years. Carbon tax put the exact same route they always drove up $340 a load. When I asked why so much of an increase, they replied “to cover fuel and carbon taxes” The same company that delivers food across Canada. You can’t convince me that the carbon tax didn’t put the cost of grocery transport up. Someone has to bite the bullet and it’s always the consumer.

Canada is quickly becoming a third world country and has changed for the worst. When my grandfathers moved here from Portugal, Canada was a country where you can come with nothing, bust your ass and work hard and have something to show for it. They came here with nothing and made a good life for themselves (owned homes, businesses, had good paying jobs, had cars, were able to support their families). Now it’s the total opposite, if you have nothing and even if you do have something (ie. a home, etc) you work, work, and work like a dog and struggle to eat and pay bills, and some people can’t even afford to pay rent or a mortgage. It’s truly sad what the current state of this country is. If my grandfathers were still alive they’d be ashamed of what this country has become.

She’s missing the point. If your political leader is telling you that The situation is not good for food insecurity, for housing and security and for inflation, but not doing anything about it is the problem. The Prime Minister also blames Pierre for “amplifying” the issues. These are important issues, perhaps the media could reflect on what the average person earns and not in what they earn.

What BT doesn’t mention, because they don’t understand it, is that Poilièvre understands the *reason* for the inflation. He understood it from the beginning and warned it was coming long before it did. The reason for this is due to the expansion of the supply of currency. The central bank ridiculed him for warning about this, although this is just basic monetary policy application. Trudeau ridiculed him for saying it, and laughed it off with his now-famous “I don’t think about monetary policy” line. And now Sid Seixeiro gets to sit there and actually say with a straight face that Poilièvre doesn’t have any solutions, he’s just an effective messenger? My goodness, the ignorance of this man is appalling. This is not complicated: when the supply of currency grows faster than the supply of goods and services, the value of the currency decreases, which is reflected by higher prices. This is basic, yet somehow still beyond Sid Seixeiro’s grasp. When we locked everyone down for chest cold 19 and then printed hundreds of billions of dollars to pay them not to produce anything, they inflated the currency supply. The result of that was price increases reflecting the reduced value of the dollar. Media too often conflate the cause of inflation with the effect. The price increases are NOT inflation, they just indicate what has happened. And Poilièvre has been banging the exact same drum since 2020, warning about this before it happened. And then saying, “see? Told you this would happen,” when it did. And now saying, “Let’s stop this before it gets worse,” ever since. When the doctor gets the diagnosis correct, chances are that the treatment will be effective. Poilièvre was the only one saying what everyone should have known from the beginning, even in his own Party. He even got punished by his former Leader for it, but he never backed down. He earned our trust. By rights, Sid Seixeiro has earned a pink slip for being that stupid, but we’ll see what happens there.
