I came to Australia from the jungle Ponggol in 1965 . I am now heading towards 80s..but still work every day to keep healthy..never taken a day off sick. So keep busy in your Golden age to keep the doctors away..I see my birth place now transformed to a city ....beyond believe. ONLY SINGAPORE CAN DO IT... From a Jungal to an outstanding city. Senior citizens must always keep their mental and body active to maintain health for longer of lives. The improvement of financial capabilities may support senior to work longer to maintain their physical activity for golden age of life.

Thanks PM for highlighting the daunting future that in 2030, 1 in 6 of us will be 60& above. Gov has done quite a lot in taking care of this segment of population. Thank you. However I feel that there are still areas that gov can look at to help this group of people. For example there should be more seats for elderly within the shopping mall. Currently when I go with my grand children shopping in the mall, I am not able to find many seats. Another area is the overhead bridge, without lift those bridges are not conducive to the elderly at all. Will appreciate the gov can start looking at those aspects so that elderly still can be more mobile within the society. Thanks
