PMD2: "Time Gear Theme" - (Piano Sheet Music) 

Whitehart I feel dumb for responding a year later, but I think that theme is intentional, making the events feel connected

Whoah, this is a real blast from the past. I don't even remember leaving this comment, but I'd just say I agree with you, or at least in part.

Wow I feel dumb responding to a comment that's over 6 months old, but I have a bit of a theory on the whole thing. I think the motif is the theme of time itself. Think about it, it's played in all of Dialga's themes, it's played in Through the Sea of Time, in Time Gear, Grovyles Sacrifice, and so many more. Whenever it's played, there is something happening that is related to time. And almost everything that happens in the game that is related to time, has this motif. The only times this doesn't happen, from the research I've done, is when you're in the future. And that makes sense, as in the future, Dialga is senile and time has stopped. As well as this, the motif's "true" theme is Dialga's Fight To The Finish. The theme of the god of time itself. It's brilliant, like everything in the game.

I mean guys, youre just pointing the obvious here. Of course they have the same motif in order to feel conected as they all revolve around the main thematic, time itself. Is done in such a brillant way, and the motif itself is sooo good, that it has been carried throught my memory for so long now (over 8 years!) and it really something that keeps making me comming back to play the game yet again and to hear the different variations of it, feeling all those sensations and epicness revolving around the temporal tower that the game itself (limited by its own reasons) wouldnt make me feel if it wasnt because this little collection of themes. Its really something that, in that aspect, has surpassed all other games I have ever played.

I think your six years of work would be better matched by a sheet that has an equal time investment, rather than this. I didn't even PLAY piano when I wrote this, to give you an idea of this piece's lack of... pianistically idiomatic writing. Trust me when I say that everything on this channel uploaded before Nov. 2012 is trash.

Eh to be honest, it's less about the technical writing and more the nostalgia. Your music was mine and my friend's favorite during all of middle school. This piece in particular just lends itself to nostalgia xD

Bespinben dude this is amazing, I keep coming back to your pieces a lot! In my opinion you got the best interpretation of the songs, at least of what I have come across. This one is a little to difficult for me to play though haha

@@Bespinben if you want to know, i've played piano for a long time, and this arrangement is actually pretty good, the harmonic is good and despite being hard, it's quite fun to play...

I started working on it a few days ago. I'm hoping to have it ready for the 7 year anniversary of the release of Time/Darkness.

No unfortunately there is not. The best I've been able to do is isolate styles of composition that are unique to a given song based on what composers were unique to that game.

Okay, makes sense. I was just asking because I've been looking all over the place for the composer of Northern Desert. I'm planning on playing threelines3's arrangement of it at a national festival and I have to name a composer. I might just go with Arata Iiyoshi because he's my safest bet.
