Thanks for sharing your expertise... I really enjoyed watching this very interesting tutorial - appreciate the relaxed presentation style. Using the FMC screenshots and drawing the boxes enhances your presentation and makes it even easier to follow along. Crystal clear audio (good English) with no distractions ... now looking forward to putting this into practice during my next flight. Already subscribed but smashing the 'Like' button (227) for another great video :)

Why was there a difference in distance between the first fix and the 2nd line where you added the 10 mile circle?

Please help us with use of offset in FMC, also the use of vor frequencied and their c (CRS) entries in MCP. I have seen pilots use during departures and approaches. 🙂

Hello again, May I ask a few questions about the FIX page, please? 1) In the 757/767/777 on the right bottom corner of the FIX page, it is possible to enter a TIME-MARKER for the route. For example 1515Z. It is important to enter the letter Z, so that the FMC knows it is a Time-Marker. After that a small green circle with the information 1515z in green color will appear on the magenta line, where the aircraft will be at 1515z. Is this possible in the 737NG? If not, is there another way to enter a TIME-MARKER in the 737NG FMC? In the Airbus FMGS you just need to enter 1515 on the top of the LEGS page, and you will see (15:15) on the green line of the programmed route on the Nav display. 2) On the same right bottom corner of the FIX page, where you can enter the TIME-MARKER, you can enter an ALTITUDE/FLIGHTLEVEL CROSSING MARKER. For example if you want to know where you will cross FL210 during climb or descend, you type in FL210. On the magenta line you would see a small green circle and FL210 in green color, where you are going to cross that altitude. Depending on how many FIX pages the FMC has you can combine MARKERS. If there are only 2 FIX pages, then you can use 1x TIME MARKER + 1x ALTITUDE CROSSING MARKER or 2x TIME-MARKERS or 2x ALTITUDE-MARKERS. If you have more pages, for example 6 pages, you have more options. Is there a way to show on the FMC of the 737NG an ALTITUDE-MARKER, too? Thanks for your answer.

i will check that because honestly this is the first time i hear about some thing called Time-Marker in the world of FMC or FMS , very interesting thank you.

I have a question. At 05:10 we can see that the 040 deg outbound radial of the BML VOR intercepts the route before KOBEK. Is there a way to create a waypoint exactly on the route, where the green dashed 040 radial line intercepts it? (Yellow star)
@FromStartupToShutdown
@FromStartupToShutdown 11 месяцев назад
Yes you we can create that waypoint using the CDU FIX page Info in our example you have to type in the legs page BML040/88. cheers
@AVIATIONSOUNDEXPERT
@AVIATIONSOUNDEXPERT 11 месяцев назад
Hi, thanks for the reply. Please, can you explain what the 88 means? The BML40 that it is the outbound radial of BML VOR, correct? But 88, I dont understand. Thanks!
@FromStartupToShutdown
@FromStartupToShutdown 11 месяцев назад
@@AVIATIONSOUNDEXPERT 88 means 88 NM the distance between BML and the intersection of the radial 040 with our route.
@AVIATIONSOUNDEXPERT
@AVIATIONSOUNDEXPERT 11 месяцев назад
@@FromStartupToShutdown Sorry, but how do you read that it is 88Nm? How do you know that the distance is 88 Nm? Is the distance between the BML VOR and the Intersection point (yellow star) not less than 88NM? I am sorry if I bother you, but it doesnt want to go in my head.
@FromStartupToShutdown
@FromStartupToShutdown 11 месяцев назад
@@AVIATIONSOUNDEXPERT According to FMC FIX page it tells that the distance from BML VOR to our route intersection is 88.

Could you give us some background as to what experience you have and where is your home base? You know a lot about the B737-800 so I gather that you are a commercial pilot with a slight Italian accent. Your videos are one of the best out there. I have been flying the X-Plane Zibo B737-800 for 2 years and have about 950 hrs in the simulator. I flew when I was in the Airforce way back when. Thanks!

What do you mean by FMC SN?
@krishnab2046
@krishnab2046 Год назад
@@FromStartupToShutdown the FMC CDU will show the FMC serial number right, is it possible to correct the same. My case is, the FMC SN labelled in the plate is differing from that which is showing in the CDU. Can we edit and re enter the SN in FMC just like we correct the engine serial numbers..?
