@@WhiteHawk77 Yeah, I don't think so, and most of the people that own don't think so either. There are bugs sure, but with A2A's recent announcement that they are now actively developing for that is all I need to know to know that it will be great.

@@ImpendingJoker well you’d think wrong, there’s a crap ton of people who are fed up, in fact fed up way before we even got to the dumpster fire of SU5, I see more and more people leaving because they have had enough of the terrible job that Assobo are doing, as their performance so far really has been embarrassing. But of course there’s plenty of others that haven’t a clue, casuals or have their heads up their backsides and praise Assobo for the garbage job they keep doing as well, sure enough. And no plane developer including A2A is going to fix the MASSIVE list of failures in terms of bugs, stability, and downright insanely stupid design decisions that have been created in this sim.

@@WhiteHawk77 I don't understand the purpose of flaming the developers so much. Yes, there are problems and unoptimized aspects that need to be reworked, and many times updates do in fact cause additional problems. That's to be expected from something of this complexity though, and with virtually every large-scale computational project. The fact that they are actively working on fixes speaks to their dedication to their craft. It honestly bewilders me why people feel the need to bring such toxic energy to this community. If this product frustrates someone so much, then they should just leave and put this software and its community behind them. Everyone has their own opinions on this simulator, but if you are so fed up with it why not just move on to another sim like DCS or X-Plane and simply leave everyone who is enjoying the sim and its steady progress in peace? Constructive criticism is always beneficial, as I'm sure the devs agree, but simply throwing out negative opinions phrased with toxic energy is simply unnecessary and unwanted in this community.

Like the other comment said you will have an Automatic Flight Engineer (AFE) at your disposal. Because the plane was back in the day flown by at least two pilots and an engineer pmdg has made the AFE. It helps you by setting the plane for you up. Even the casual simmer to fly it with ease, without much knowlage or even learn only a selection of checklists. Beside that it comes with a complete manual It makes it really flexible and enables everyone to fly it and learn it in their own pace if they wish

@@JarosRC you're asking me what the main attraction is of the plane? It's everything about it. The plane itself, a detailed outer model, detailed internal model where a lot is clickable and functional. They also modeld the resonances of the plane, the fact that you can turn on internal damage and engine failures, the AFE. I've got it on pc and the list goes on and on. It a masterpiece of a model. It's currently without a doubt in the top three of best planes for MSFS. Watch a RU-vid video about it and you'll see how much depth it has. I've also got a short video of it on my channel may you be interested, but that isn't professional or anything. Just personal apriciation for the plane. Hope that answers your question :)

@@JarosRC PMDG is more or less the gold standard for flight-simming when it comes to planes. If I remember correctly from FSX days the average plane took 3 years or more to come to market from the ground up. The PMDG planes are complex but do have the AFE like previous commenter said and the looks and flight dynamics are spot on with so much work having gone into them (Of course there are limitations of the simulator or simulators themselves.). As for beginners? I would say if you really want to get serious about flight-simming go for it but otherwise I would wait till you have some experience before popping into PMDG or any other complex plane before buying as when you go full sim without understanding everything it can get frustrating.:)

Me also as its my favourite plane for any flight sim, yet Majestic really don't seem to be that bothered by MSFS. I have tried getting info out of them for the last year, but it's like getting blood out of a stone.

Coming from fsx I can tell you that most long time simmers look forward to overpaying for broken aircraft.

The reality is these aircraft take a lot of time and resources to develop due to the level of detail they go to from exterior model, to the cockpit model and the simulation of the aircraft systems and engines. Companies like PMDG are full time aircraft developers so naturally that effort costs money. The being said, PMDG got a bit carried away with pricing in Prepar3D but thankfully the influx of absolutely superb freeware like the Flybywire A32NX and the new market opportunities MSFS has presented has caused them to review their pricing strategy and start to release aircraft at a more reasonable price point. I actually got the DC6 for £42 from PMDG directly as they were doing a sale this week which really is on par with most other payware aircraft.

Think of it as a 10 year flight. We have only just boarded the plane. Think of 3 -4 years time how noice it will be. :)

@@MrBillUp Where did I say they should sell cheaper to Xbox players? I pointed out Xbox players because they are surely not going to be anywhere close to hardcore flight sim fans that would be willing to drop that cost for a single plane. It was to emphasize how ridiculous the prices are. I'm just saying that there has to be ways for the mod developers to raise funds for development that don't force the end user to pay exorbitant prices for aircraft.

@@DarkSwordsman No. What's ridiculous is thinking that every Xbox player is just a casual. I am a hardcore simmer, I just can't afford buying a high-end PC, and I assure you that I'm not the only one.

@@Palemka If you can't afford a PC, are you *really* going to spend $55 or more per DLC aircraft? You wouldn't spend money on a PC so you can get more realistic experiences with other free or cheap mods, not to mention vatsim?

@@Digital__rb or the ones that are a mix between helium and hot air, those were the ones used to circumnavigate the world. MFS already has real weather parameters, with jet streams and everything else, it would be nice try to accomplish the same thing using weather predictions.

I guess by study level you mean all buttons inop because apparently no one tested it and the cockpit interaction doesn’t work.

That because nothing works in the cockpit, the plane is dead. That a problem from the marketplace version and PDMG is aware. Otherwise the plane is just magnificent, one a the best DLC for MFS 2020.

it's great, it's been out on PC from PMDG for a while now. I love it.

This plane does not come from microsoft themselves its a piece of art from pmdg and the most realistic plane in the sim

those are study level aircraft which are also mods, i highly doubt you'll ever see something like this being free in an official content update

@@Pascal_2041 I know it doesn't. My point is Microsoft should buy the rights to it and offer it to the community at a lower price to each simmer at the next update. It could be done with multiple payware aircraft.
