In US we use a silent "p". BTW the waste products from this bacterium can cause a massive histamine reaction in humans, which can be worse than the pneumoniae itself.

It is helpfull. I just want to say that i take PCR test at 3 week of sicknes and it wos negagative for mycoplasma and for chlamydia pneumonia. The prof wos imuni IGG and IGM increase for that specific kind. But we have to wait 10 days for resoult. That first take of macroid and wait for next part is good solution.

I took azithromycin daily for months, then took minocycline, clarithromycin for even more months and my mycoplasma didn't go away. Then the person goes into the realm of chronic systemic illness possibly for the rest of their life. I think the Doctor and patient can only pray the mycoplasma doesn't go systemic before treatment starts, but this treatment will never make it go away completely... ideally we would take minocycline + clarithromycin + moxifloxacin for a few months (Hoping we don't flox our tendons) to cure this beast.

is there any correlation between mycoplasma pneumonia and topical tretinoin use?? cus 2 days after i started tretinoin i got a deathly case of mycoplasma pneumonia im still recovering .. i also read people who take oral tretinoin can get pneumonia but what about topical ?? i felt like i was gonna die i felt like i had a horrid flu or strep it was terrible they treated me with Zpack but i think i may need more
