As you said Richard, what a faff that squelch is. Simple, easily accessible controls are needed for commonly used functions. Please note manufacturers!

Hi Richard ,ASQ is actually proper FM "noise squelch" As you put real squelch is "carrier squelch" ASQ fine if no over deving goes on channel , unfortunately in my area some seem to think 4-5khz deviation is used on 10khz spacing!! Which we know is wrong! Lol But you can't tell the user "they know best" 😮 Not so bad now as most users upgrading CB kit to newer 8ko F3E etsi CB with 2.00khz dev ,that perfect for ASQ use Must of missed this vid Richard ,all good 👍 Rob RPC

It’s got really nice transmission audio but that squelch is bad! But I can’t understand why we are still getting radios that are now not setup for the uk as the changes didn’t happened yesterday?

Much prefer an analogue squelch pot over digital squelch modern sets use now.

if i use the channel scan feature while on EU frequency and then switch back to UK frequencies i can never get back to EU frequencies ever again, requires a reset in the menu to restore function.

It's bizarre why they make things that should be simple, so complicated.

Well, the Transmitted audio is very clear, the reception is quite clear, after you spend the first five minutes trying to set the squelch! But the controls! FAIL. Vertical filing cabinet 🙄😳

What a pathetic radio.. who ever thought this one up needs to get back to basics and learn how to build a proper rig.
