A few clips of people catching King Salmon at Samish River in Washington. I don't really fish much and i don't care if i catch fishes. I go out there to enjoy the outdoor and record videos.

That's not fishing. That's flossing. These fish aren't even biting the hook. They swim up the river with there mouths open and run into the line and the "Anglers" snag them in the mouth! Been there a Few times and watched this happen all day. That why they have huge jigs on and not one person is actually jigging. BS fishing.

That last one was 100% in the gut. WDFW just says that they are too busy to hit that spot every single day it’s open. I’ve only seen 1 officer down there on a quad.
Just curious on how do you get on the other side of the river. And what are the areas you can get their by. Because I'm plan on fishing it Thursday. Great video and keep it up.
U just walk across the river on low tide but be careful because the other side is private property, u have to stay in the water if you do want to cross

The salmon aren't biting that jig. You are doing a method of fishing known as snagging, dragging a hook through the water hoping it catches a fish. This is both illegal and unethical, and will eventually lead to the Samish closing down
Actually it is only snagging if you keep it and it’s not hooked in the mouth. What is going to get it closed down is idiots leaving garbage on the farmers land and people pull guns on each other over fishing
@shadowstorm3447 are you joking? Salmon bite out of instinct whether they are feeding or irritated. It is a skill, sometimes it's easy it depends on the day but they absolutely bite. Now if 500 people are snagging that will absolutely shut the fish off. Fishing eggs was the way everyone caught fish on the samish until the snaggers showed up. It used to be a fun fishery.

good video, and it should show that if the wdfw would help a little more on our parking, it would impact our (residents) road a lot less. but on the flipside, when someone or a group helps out just a lot with bathrooms and fish cleaning stations, other people make videos that poke fun at them for whatever reasons. most don't know what it's taking to get that little streach of land leased (BARROWED) from private residents all the way to the water. if it wasnt for that little part of the mouth of the river being able to use from our money going to those farmers and land owners, who want to shut it down, us fishermen would have to find spots under bridges and walk entirely in the waters to our spots. this year we get bathrooms and a fish station. the first thing this video does is to poke fun at it!?? otherwise it was a good view of the battle arm of the mouth to the samish river.
I did not intend to make fun of any sign. The sign is there which mean someone did it, which i think its kinda funny. But yes we're thankful that there are 2 bathroom stations now.
This water looks disgusting. I don't see how anyone could enjoy fishing with 60 ppl all in a line 3ft away from each other and you can only cast five feet in front of you. This ain't fishing.

This ain’t fishing! This is snagging! Might as well throw a damn gill net in and everyone take a fish. The fish ain’t even good quality.. come fish on the lower Columbia where fish a super bright with sea lice still on em fresh out the sea! True fishing sportsman don’t fish like this what a shame
