Sheesh! That's easily $6,000 in boots alone! I have 1 pair of JK's and now I want to try them all. Nicks especially. Great collection, thanks for the video.
I got a pair of super duties last year . Currently I have the Super duties , jk climbers and Whites Smoke jumpers. Waiting on my 8 in forefronts. Once you buy 1 pair you can never wear mass produced again and you will want more. I’m done now though just because I have enough boots now to last my lifetime. I might have to get the 1st pair of super duties resoled maybe in another 2 years
I absolutely love my JK Superduty shorts in brown! I got tempted and now rep some redwood Forefronts. It feels like a perfectly fit glove for my feet and like walking on a cloud.
I wish you were more descriptive each time you bounced around pointing from boot to boot.. considering most of your look the same.., its hard to always tell which brand and model you're referring too.. doesn't really do any justice for comparing them all
Jk did the same to me. I normally wear a size e and they sent me a pair in 5 e. They are comfortable but I am very unhappy with the way they look. Wish I would have known they were just going to give you the widest boot they make when choosing wide over standard. I almost feel cheated but oh well life goes on and they will never get another dollar from me. Bought a pair of Nick's and never been so happy! Choose carefully 🎉
What are you talking about??? You don't just order regular or wide. You use their sizing print out chart and figure out your size from there. I just ordered a pair in 5E because that's the size I came to when I used their size chart. You don't just pick regular or wide when you order their boots. You literally pick how wide you want and 5E is NOT the widest. They literally go to 8E and it's not like regular boot sizing. I actually contacted them to make sure my size was right according to their print out that you do when sizing your foot because 5E makes it sound like super wide but they said 5E does not mean super wide and not to be swayed by that. If you got boots that are ridiculously to big that's on you. They don't just send you a random extra wide size for no reason. And if they sent you the wrong size by accident they most definitely would replace them.
Just wondering but how come you n the poster of this video didn’t just return em for the correct size I’m sure they would have hooked ya up. Genuinely just wondering
My collection has almost grown to this size now haha. Currently got 3 pairs of JK superdutys, a pair of JK forefronts, 3 pairs of Drews, 2 of their loggers and 1 8in rowdy leather with the mini lug sole, a pair of Franks Patriots, and a pair of Whites millwoods. I completely agree with the difference in sizing from drews to the standard 55 last that Franks uses on their patriot. I have 10d in both and the Franks are way more supportive and snug but the drews have been growing and growing on me recently. Just got my 3rd pair of Drews it's an 8in black logger combo had them to my door in 5 days after ordering. paid less than 300 shipped from Bakers in the final few section. Crazy good deal.
For shop workers and grounds keepers, I'd say go with JK boots. The toebox is wide like on a jim green so your feet can splay naturally during long peroods of walking. It may not look as sleek as a dress boot, but they're for work.
Holy crap dude. You have like $7k worth of boots on your shelves. I thought I was ballin with three pairs of PNW boots in my closet. That is impressive sir. What do you do for a living if you don’t mind me asking? You may have mentioned it idk I was in awe by the collection. I think you have more invested in footwear than I do in my savings account lol. I’m jealous lol. Crazy how excited we get about good boots. Us trade guys are a different breed. People think it’s a flex to wear a $400 pair of Nike or Jordans when we are out here trashing 6-7-$800 pair of work boots daily
I'm still waiting for my Drews loggers to show up. If the sizing is right, then I'm going to get a pair of the Contractors. Not sure if Rowdy or Rogue would be better.
@@NoGoodLyingSnake I got mine about a month ago. I am very disappointed in that the leather quality is NOT as stated in the description. They state 7.5-8oz leather. They are not even remotely close. The vamps are so thin, they sanded off almost all the roughout down to the tight grain. They are nowhere near what they claim. They are built very well, but the leather is very sub par. 5.5-6oz thick with a B-grade at best. Even with the vamp liner added, the vamp total thickness is less than the leg shaft, which is around 1.8-2mm thick. Do not buy these thinking they are as good as standard 7.5-8oz PNW Loggers. They are a good home chore boot, but not anywhere what would be needed for a legit NFPA rated Logger.
I put coconut oil on my chippewas and it went rancid. They stank with an acrid, pungent, sharp horrible odour that burnt my eyes. After about 3 months it went away. In the Australian summer it was horrible. After that I started using Rice Bran Oil and have had zero problems with any smell at all.
hey man for the sizes, im a comfortable 8 in redwings, if i wanted to get the drews would you suggest i go a half size down or just stick with what fits in the redwings? i like my boots a bit tight but i dont want to go crazy and crush my foot all day.
They are amazing! I would not buy them if you are a narrow foot width under a size D. Yes the D in Drew's modified 55 last, the ones made in Mexico, is at least as wide as the EE's I have in Franks.
0:53 You are correct on the sizing and at somepoint there needs to be meeting of every PNW Bootary and just settle on sizing. Its ridiculous and needs to change...
Just follow their sizing guides and you should be alright. At least JK and Nicks where I've ordered from have print outs where you can measure your foot and they give you instructions on how to order according to your foot size on the print out. It's pretty simple.
If you were to pint a rookie to the best most comfortable pair what would you point us to? Brand/model regular or rough out. Any specifics would be helpful to a lot of us rooks. Thanks big hoss, great collection and great vid!!
@@NoGoodLyingSnake ya I was gonna give them a shot. Heard great things about them. I’m actually in Mexico now and was gonna see if I could find some from Leon but it seems a bit tricky to find here in Mexico for some reason.
Sorry for the long answer but I'll try and keep it short...I do power washing and need to rotate my boots so they have time to dry. Usually that's about a week to dry fully. I also use them for working on my equipment as well as working around chemicals and bleach with a forklift. I have a couple pairs I use for walking my dogs everyday on a two mile trail threw the woods. Then I have some just for going out and when company comes over. Also some are just for winter use with heavy socks. I also believe in keeping my feet dry and comfortable as that will enable me to work longer hours. If my feet get wet, I'm done for the day so I make sure that doesn't happen.
