To be clear to potential buyers - the crash replacement mentioned in the video is not a POC policy and you shouldn't expect any crash replacement discounts
I just crash yesterday and my helmet did the job when my head hit the pavement. The helmet is scratched up but it still looks good to ride with. I will upgrade to this in the future.
So I’m confused. Didn’t POC announce they were discontinuing the SPIN tech? I’m looking to purchase a new helmet & really like this helmet, but if they’re about to announce a MIPS version, then should I wait?
So, this was ‘new’ in Summer 2020. The OMNE Eternal is the latest thing, and I have no idea on MIPS, but it looks like the Kortal got it so a road version might not be far behind.
@@AndyClarkRealReviews Cool, appreciate the reply, Andy. I have decided to move ahead w/ the Ventral anyway. Actually leaning towards the Ventral Air NFC simply because of the colorway (I've got white POC Aims & think it will go nicely with the white inner foam layer, 😆), but curious if you've ever used the standard "aero" Ventral? Do you know if there is a large discrepancy in aero performance between the "Air" version & standard? Thanks again!
I have the POC Ventral Spin. While the material build and aesthetic is beautiful the side strap adjustment is poor at best and not befitting a helmet at this price point. One cannot independently adjust the length of the straps that join to form the "Y" at the ear/jaw, so if your head does not fit their preconceived shape, the likelihood of a safe fit reduces dramatically. Very disappointing for such an expensive piece of kit.
Hi! How would you chose your size? For me the medium size is comfortable and allows me to wear a cap but it moves and the S is good without a cap underneath... Which size should I pick? Thanks!
