Just because it was historically incorrect, it doesn't mean that this movie is not great. i felt this movie and the hunchback of notre dame were severely underrated :(

Shoutout to my mum for giving birth to me in 1994, and spoiled us by buying these disney movies and letting us grow up with them. Had the best childhood ever :( If I could, I'd go back in a heartbeat. R.I.P Mum
It was actually also sung in the film by Mel Gibson (yes, it was him, not a professional) and Judy Kuhn when she comes to see him before execution. I'm annoyed they took their version out of following re-releases, as Mel actually had a good singing voice.

I just love how Jon Secada and Shanice sings this song. Their voices just blends so well. I miss them so much. We really need to bring back real r&b and go back to our roots.
IKR? I find this song probably the most underrated love song (not counting sequels) which is sad considering how intimate and mature it is. It isn’t about falling in love like nearly every other one, but instead is all about WHY John Smith fell deeply in love with Pocahontas and how much she means to him! He’d rather die a changed man filled with love than remain the same arrogant captain he once was. Imo John Smith gets waay too much hate as a character, like no one ever remembers how much he changes because of his love for Pocahontas
This song is underrated and overlooked because of Colors of the Wind. I used to get emotional with myself listening to this as a kid before even knowing what love was.

Kind of how all Disneys were for me. Watched it as a kid for entertainment, came back as an adult and watched it and got all the meaning behind it, combined with the warm memories of childhood.
I miss old movies/cartoons. They just don't make them like they used too... innocent and beautiful for all ages. You can almost never watch a movie without there being swear words or a sex scene. I'm sad to say that I am becoming very disappointed with this new generation.
Watched this yesterday and I cried at the ending...out of all the times I have watched this film I haven't cried until yesterday...love John smith so much!
Watching Pocahontas as a kid, it was fun. But watching it as an Adult after experiencing love...it was still fun but now more meaningful. You somehow find yourself understanding the emotions better, where you feel you can almost relate, This song has a beautiful meaning, it was very apt for this film.
Oh man the year this movie came out was the year I was born. I miss those days. That was when life was simple and we didn't have to deal with any of the bullshit of today

A friend I've met only a few months ago is leaving back to Thailand (foreign exchange student), and tomorrow, he'll be gone. He is worth making friends with, even though that is the only thing we'll ever be, friends. I love him with all my heart, I defiantly dedicate this song to him.
Next to Aurora and Ariel this is the best princess ever. She is underrated. Her story is just heartbreaking. The song is wonderful. 2 wonderful singers to bring the heartbreak and the passion and love of a people and a girl.
Aurora is by far one of the worst princesses. I’m sorry but she does absolutely nothing in her movie except wait for a guy she hardly knows to save her. Her movie is very beautiful, but Aurora is literally the most boring character. Pocahontas almost died fighting for what she believed in
we all know the real story, we just don't want to believe it. for me i would like to believe this fairy tale, its a part of me a part of my childhood and i never want to forget that :)
I love this song, this is the song I would sing to my parents because they have given sure a great life so I thank God for finding them, I am so proud to carry their name, if it wasn’t for god, I would never have knew them but I love them for all, my heart
