I can’t say how funny I think it is that you could convince me Berhalter picked this roster. I am happy with a lot of the picks, everyone is getting a clean slate with a new manager, which I think is how things are supposed to be done.

Honestly the only criticism I have of the roster is including Horvath versus Slonina or another young GK (even someone like Brady as an example). We've seen what we get from Horvath, and he's in horrendous form and can't even break through as a starter on the worst team in the Championship, in large part because of another recent howler. I'll be more interested in his tactical setup and also what his roster choices look like further down the line when some of the injured players are available. Up until then, unless there is someone on the fringe (or even off the radar) who's club performance clearly demands inclusion for a USMNT call-up, then there isn't much to criticize.

The next two years a LOT of 16-19 year old players can make the leap to improve quality and be on the roster for WC 2026...let's see

The only snubs I see, and they're not really snubs is Maloney, Tessman and any American Goalkeeper who is starting for their club.

I don't think Aaronson is the backup 10. I think he's Poch's starter at the 10. In Poch's system he'll challenge Reyna for that spot.

Hoping to finally have a USA team I can enjoy watching instead of turning it off 30 minutes in because it’s just unwatchable soccer

--> After Celtic's loss yesterday, Poch is probably regretting calling in Trusty. (TBF, everyone on Celtic's team was terrible. Well, except for GK Kaspar Schmeichel, believe it or not.) --> I'd put Jalen Neal in over Trusty or Robinson. Trusty's left-footed, so maybe he gets the edge over Robinson. But Neal's youth gets the edge over both of them.

Tiery Henry said the quality of American players in MLS is going down. He was basing that on the fact that mostly MLS player-based World Cup USMNT teams have done well in the past. What do you think about that? Do you agree that quality of Americans in MLS is not very good?

The roster looks OK to me. I just think it's a shame that he didn't call up a few more debutants. Friendly games would be the ideal opportunity to try out some fresh, new ideas. But I think that American “we always have to win” is always anchored in the back of the coach’s mind. Even if it's about nothing.

Horvath has potential. That's why he's there. Not surprising.

What you’re telling me a rotational LB for the most ball dominant team in a weak bundesliga is anywhere close to the leading scorer in serie a? Davies is so bad he had to change positions.
