I too enjoy your wonderful tutorials - - so pleased to tune in and learn something new. So sorry you were feeling burnt out - quite understand how that happens especially with all the available videos, etc on line competing for viewers. Yes we are grateful you are continuing on and hope it is at a pace that is suitable for you both. We the viewing public can wait - sometimes the anticipation can be good as it shows how much we like what you offer.

That was an exceptional instructional video. I can see why I subscribed to you! Clear, precise, no fuss, no watching needless sewing. I’ve seen these around on Facebook and have been envious but now I see it’s so easy, I’m going to make some for all my nieces and nephews for Christmas 😁

Thank you so much for your lovely comment. We had burnt ourselves out by doing too much. There is only Paula and I doing everything and it took its toll. But after a nice long break and a rethink of what we will do in the future, we are happy to be back. 😀

On one hand I m relieved that it wasn’t Covi19 or other life threatening illness however, it is serious to be so invested in this channel to the point of exhaustion! So sorry that happened to you & glad you two have done what you needed to do to recoup! There is so much time and effort that goes into making tutorials and maintaining the channel, thank you for sharing your time and talents. It’s wonderful to see you with another tutorial and hopefully your new strategy will keep you well and not deplete you in any way❣️

Scrolling for gift ideas I came over from Andra makes. This was in her Top Ten Gift ideas. I love this. I prefer making gifts. Typically for my Networking group I bake several edibles because I figure we all have enough stuff!! So for YEARS, I have been giving edible gift with a decorated plate or mug! This year we will exchange differently so we are to bring just ONE gift!! I dont want to bake three batches of edibles for just one person! So, THIS IS PERFECT!! I am so happy to see your video I am sending you a Hug from Spotsylvania, Virginia, USA!!! Hugs, hugs, and God bless you with more ideas and videos!!!

I love your tutorials, my first zipper cushion was following your tutorial. Quick question, if I use batting and backing on the front piece, (so 3 pieces to make up the front piece) should I cut all my pieces a little bit bigger to allow for seam allowance?
@alandacraft
@alandacraft 4 года назад
A bit difficult to tell without actually doing it. You shouldn't need to but without us testing it I can't give you a definitive answer. Personally I would cut them the same size as the pattern but I don't want to give you the wrong information in case it doesn't work out. I like plump, filled cushions.
@margaretperry2392
@margaretperry2392 4 года назад
Hi again, loved this tutorial. Made a few tweaks. I did use batting and backing on the front piece only and quilted it. I also did French seams as I don’t have an overlocker. This made it a bit smaller, size 16 cushion fits, could possibly squeeze in a size 17.

It must be a drag to work in inches for the American audience. Or are quilting supplies in Oz sold in inches instead of metric?
@alandacraft
@alandacraft 4 года назад
Fabric is sold by the meter in Oz, Lin, but quilters tend to use the imperial system when sewing, so it's no hassle working in inches; also I was educated in the days before the metric system was introduced. (showing my age there). 😀
@curious8890
@curious8890 2 года назад
As an American who never learned metric, I have to appreciate the Imperial measurements. My acrylic rulers are in Imperial only. I do wish we has converted as metric is a much more precise measurement. I use my tape measure to convert when tutorials are in metric. So I can see the desire. The two systems don't measure up precisely. However division is great with tape! Flip the Imperial over and do the dividing in metric and flip back! Maybe that's what you do to convert metric to Imperial?
