The song is similar to Angel, which Elvis sang in Wild In The Country. Love both songs, but def prefer this one. Great vocal control. Wonder who was doing the singing for Juliet Prowse? Anyone know?

@@GJoeJ010841 I always assumed it was Juliet singing, but apparently not. I found this at imdb: "Juliet Prowse did not reveal herself to be a singer until after she left Hollywood for the stage, where she triumphed as the triple-threat star of the London production of "Sweet Charity."

I think Elvis' voice throughout the 60's had a softer more pure tone to it and even though he gets slated for the movies he made, some of the vocals on those soundtracks are so beautiful to listen to especially if u wear headphones..... Thanks for the review... Stay safe.. Love from the UK x

Beautiful and touching! Elvis’s voice is like fine wine here. And singing of rainbows, I would love to hear you react to two versions of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” Judy Garland’s version in the Wizard of Oz and Israel Kamakawiwo’ole. 🌈🌈 there is a beautiful tribute video on RU-vid to the great Hawaiian singer at his memorial showing how beloved he was by the Hawaiian people!

I’ve gotta say mate, I somehow doubt our “King” would feel like singing “ I’ve got a pocket full of Rainbows” to me if I was just sitting there, in that scene reading the paper. Pocketful of rainbows is my number one song. His voice is smooth as silk. This movie. G. I. Blues is fun from beginning to the end. He was just magic. My wife and. I were lucky enough to see. Guys if you're not aware of movie making and movie making at that time. That background is not real. Most likely a soundstage. Dubbed in audio. They didn't use green screens at the time or blue screens. They used at the time a regular big screen for a background. The train car is real. Elvis is real. Juliet Prowse is real. 😳😁

the album cut of this song was better, and later they released a faster version from the studio that they decided not to use. The entire GI Blues album was really good.

I think that G.I. Blues.. was his 5th movie? 1960? anyway so many catchy songs.. One of his musical comedies his character name was Tulsa.. Miss Australia's Hannerl Melcher the representative in The Miss Universe she also did a nab a bit part in this movie.. As the strolling singer during one of Tulsa's dates with Lili Juliet Prowse..

The actor Anthony Perkins from the movie Psycho loved Elvis. He recorded a version which I love. He.named his son after him. He's a musician too. His wife passed on one the planes that went into the World Trade Center. RIP all of you.
