What a great idea. When I'm done making 140 valentine's cards and idea journal will be my next project.

Oh my gooey-marshmallow insides! I usually spend my morning with you, as I grade papers, but today started early due to student needs and, well, you are my lunch time indulgence. When I heard my name mentioned I got all twitter-pated and giddy (does anyone use that word any more?!). I am beyond pleased that you're also making an idea book. If nothing else, our craft should be fun and I love that you're having fun too. I really enjoy seeing your different take on the same pocket which is yet another thing to love about this wonderful craft! Thank you sweet friend, and as always, excellent work :)

Love all the ideas! I really love how you are doing these challenges and doing what you love. Good for you my friend.❤️. Now as for the guy journal and ephemera these are my go to things. Tim Holtz. He has great papers that are industrial and grungy and so much of his embellishment packets are great for this. I know you have a lot is his stuff. And especially the men paper dolls. Geometric design paper in black and gray and browns. Lots of distressing and coffee dye even when I collage I distress. Instead of lace I use ribbon and trims that are rustic like twine, burlap hemp and lots of cheesecloth and coffee dyed dryer sheets. I use gears and clocks instead of flowers. These are just the things I do. So maybe you can find something that will help you and that you will make your way. Have fun with it and don’t stress because it will be great whatever you choose to do. ❤️😊🦋

I would love to see a video of you going through some of your idea journals and picking out your top favorites, then remaking them to show us. Maybe for patreon or something? Idk, just an idea that I personally would love to watch 💕

All of these pockets are so much fun! I have just about finished up my sample pocket book, but I had to make it a spiral bound because I just can't seem to make anything but chunky monkeys. I hear ya when you say you might not have enough time to do Rachel's challenge every week with doing your own videos. Since I started my channel about a year ago, I've been finding that to be true. I never realized how much time it takes to create videos, etc. and you do a lot of videos. Wow! TFS the inspiration, Gayle!

Hi Gayle. I think this is such a good- an idea journal for pockets. I have had an idea's journal in 2020, that is now super big. I won't have such a lot of time this year, but still wanted something structured to do. I will follow you. I will do selective idea journal. Many thanks for sharing this. It is exactly what I needed.

Wonderful Gayle. So it’s not a - How to make a man journal, then lol. I have pockets that are in a plastic popper wallet that you showed how to make over two years ago. I get them out when I need inspiration and get stuck in a creative rut. I am doing Anne’s challenge too. I feel for you with the migraines. I have been battling them for a month now. I think the weather has a lot to do with them as well. Here in Texas it is so wish washy that we never have any idea what going to happen.

So many great ideas for pockets!! I have a journal with samples of pockets and flips. So nice to refer back to it when I need inspiration!! Also use a journal to write ideas in, but it's easier to see the actual item made. Power has been out since midnight...high winds. Not sure if I'll be able to craft today, too cold in she shed!! nice tags for the anne brooke challenge, i am doing it, also. and i have an idea for you...for your idea journal, when you just use paper clips to add something, why not use an “idea” altered paper clip...

Ooooh, I didn’t know Margarete Miller was having a collage challenge, I love her collages. She’s one of those people that the minute you see it you know it’s her work. I’m going to have to check and see. I know I follow her on Instagram, I don’t know why I haven’t noticed but then I don’t go on Instagram real often. I got her One Stamp at a Time book for Christmas, it’s very small. Didn’t know there was a planner or I just ignored it because I don’t use a planner, I have nothing to plan😂😝.

Hi Gayle...I love those tags for the challenge...I've seen them in a fb goup but so much nicer to see them in a video. I love that you're doing the idea book.I"ve been wanting to do one for awhile..so maybe..just maybe. Lately I actually took time to craft and made a couple craft with me videos. The first one I collaged boho fabric then scanned and printed them. Then I did some work in a collage ephemera book...sound familiar...you are my inspiration girl ;)

Hi Gayle - thought I’d pass on an idea. What about making journals as little thank-you’s for some of the medical professionals who are enduring so much for all of us? The journals could be pretty simple, but include words of encouragement or gratitude for their efforts. (Definition of a hero, quotes celebrating endurance and sacrifice for others, etc.) Obviously delivery would have to wait until things calm down somewhat, but it would be a way to give a little something from the heart. 🥰

Love this idea and I'm going to go check out Cori and Sue's channels....thanks for the great ideas you bring us daily! I have 5 journals I've made since I started junk journaling in June of 2020. I got laid off in March because of the pandemic and so I had alot of time to watch your videos along with others. Now, I'm not sure what to do with them lol they look pretty on the shelf haha. Most of the decor of the books are from you😊just wanted to say thank you for helping me stay sane😵lol

So true about the quirky names and titles, I love the catchiness to them.

About your migraines, I would look up to see if anything in your area is blooming right now. I know it’s winter where you are, but some trees are really active in the winter months. Those could be setting off your allergies or migraines. It could also be lack of sleep, more stress, the weather, etc. I have them as well and it’s soooo frustrating to try to figure out what’s causing them. I’m so sorry! They really suck, and I hate that you have been having to suffer with migraines!!

Hi Gayle, I love these projects and will surely be trying some of them! What size paper did you use for the pull downs? I'm guess 11 x 17.
